When you have this unexplainable gut feeling, do you follow your instincts or think that maybe you’re just being paranoid?
It’s hard to explain it, but we have experienced this at least once in our lives. Sometimes, it’s good to listen to our instincts.
18-year-old Hannah Wadiso had just graduated from high school last May 28.

Like teens her age, Hannah loves to go out and be with her friends. After graduation, they wanted to celebrate and have fun.
Hannah’s family celebrated her milestone the next day, and after lots of hours spent with her family, she wanted to go out with her friends.
That night, Hannah asked her father if she could go out.

It was around 7 p.m when she asked permission from her father, and even though he didn’t want to, he said yes. Like most fathers, no one wants their kids out at night, but again, he thought, this day was to celebrate his daughter’s achievement, so why not?
Tesfaye Ailbe, Hannah’s father, shared in his interview with KETV that he felt that something was off.

He had a bad feeling, and he couldn’t shake it off. So he followed his daughter but lost her, so Tesfaye went back home.
Like most parents, he waited for her to come back home until his phone rang.
It was a phone call that would make your heart break.

“I got this number, and you don’t know me, of course, but your daughter was in an accident and in bad shape. Please, reach now.,” Tesfaye recalled the words that crushed his heart.
The distraught father rushed to the scene. It was chaotic.
Officers stopped Tesfaye from getting near the accident site. They told him that Hannah had died when a car rolled on top of her.

Hannah’s family broke down in tears.
Two hours passed, and Tesfaye got another call. They informed him that Hannah survived but was still in “critical condition.”
As it turned out, there was a miscommunication when Tesfaye went to the scene.

Hannah’s pelvis was crushed because of the impact of the accident, but doctors told her family that she will recover, though it will take a long time.
The teen’s father was grateful. Even though they will have a long healing process, what matters is that his daughter is alive.
“God is good,” he said to KETV.

He reminded his daughter not to be filled with anger, but to give praise because she was given another chance in life – a miracle.
“The other two didn’t get this chance,” Tesfaye said.
They set a GoFundMe account up for Hannah to help the family with the overwhelming costs of medical bills and for the needs of their other child with special needs.

It would be a long road for Hannah’s family, but Tesfaye’s outlook on life is admirable.
Instead of hatred and despair, he leads his family to look forward to the future. He wants his family to be grateful for the gift of a second life, and for a chance for them to live their lives to the fullest.
