So often it’s the little things in life that give us the most joy.
A cup of coffee with a friend, a kind word from a lover, or a small service from a stranger can all have so much meaning with only a small amount of effort.
For one woman, getting outside every day is made easy by the encouragement of a bus full of students!
Sandy Reichart is a retired teacher that witnessed something truly heartwarming a few weeks ago and decided to share it on social media.
Reichart went up to her mom’s house to visit with her and check-up.
Her mom is getting older and Reichart makes it a point now that she’s retired to visit when she can!
While she was there, however, she noticed something truly amazing that was worthy of some viral attention.
Reichart’s mother walks to the street every day to see a special group of people.
When her mother gets to the end of the dirt road, she waits for a certain vehicle to drive by… it’s hard to miss!
Every day at the same time, a school bus from a local school drives by full of kids.
Honking and pausing at the road, the driver says hello to the elderly woman!
What’s more, the kids on the bus all roll their windows down to say hello!
With screams, shouts, and honks, Reichart’s mom gets greeted in the best way possible.
You can see how much it means to her, too!
Slapping and saying thank you, it’s clear that she looks forward to this part of her day as a highlight.
Reichart learned that this wasn’t a one-off thing, either. It happens daily!
The bus of kids and the elderly woman now have a routine where they get to say hello to each other each day!
For the kids, it’s a fun way to be kind to an older woman.
For Reichart’s mom, it’s a way to connect with people in a life where it’s not always easy.
It didn’t just make her mom happy, it made her happy too!

After the video was posted, it soon went viral.
Who would have guessed that people want to see something positive and encouraging?
For real though, it meant a lot to people all over the world.
After it was posted about a month ago, it has already amassed more than 176,000 likes and hundreds of thousands of views.
