17-year-old Haley Bridges of Appleton, Wisconsin is one lucky girl. At her company’s Christmas party raffle, the teenager was the envy of all when she won a car!

She works at Chick-fil-A together with her best friend, 19-year-old Hokule’a Taniguchi. It was there that they met and really became close.

Now Hoku goes to work every day by riding a bicycle.

She rides her bike regardless of the weather so Haley did what no one expected. She gave the car to her best friend.

“I love working here. Not only are the people that work here amazing, but it has taught me so many new things. I always look forward to going to work, I get to see my second family,” she said.

Haley got the job thanks to another friend. With Hoku, work just became really fun and they would even spend time together when their shifts were over for the day.

“What we do most of the time is chill at whoever’s house we choose,” said Haley. “We are very spontaneous, as well as our little close friend group we have.”

But Hoku didn’t realize how much Haley really loved her until the party.

The raffle was the main event for the annual party. Rumors of a car being the grand prize had been making the rounds at work.

Employees got raffle tickets depending on how many hours they work. Haley received five.

When they arrived at the Grand Meridian, there, in the banquet hall, was a car on display. The rumors were true.

According to Haley, the group always helped Hoku with whatever she needed, and that they all agreed to give her the car regardless of who won.

“The car was the only raffle where we couldn’t pool our tickets, one ticket per person,” Haley explained. “Our friend group and some other friends decided to all put one in for her. We were all very nervous that someone else would get chosen, but we kept our hopes up.”

Then Haley heard her name called.

“My heart felt as if it was racing and we both stood up and ran to each other,” Haley recalled of the moment.

“Everyone in the room felt like they were gone, it felt as if it was just us two in the moment. We hugged each other hard and cried so much. Everyone else was either crying or clapping. We all had a big group hug with everyone near us and it felt so unreal experiencing this.”

The moment meant everything to Hoku, who really wanted Haley to win.

“It’s crazy knowing that I was able to give my best friend a car!” the kindhearted teen said.

Haley already has a car, but after her selfless act, strangers began reaching out to her. Her car got paid off after a fundraiser organized by her aunt!

As for Hoku’s new car, the group’s gone on many road trips together. And there’s so many more to come.
