Who can blame them?

Living in Los Angeles under the public eye and constant scrutiny is an endless difficulty.

Danica McKellar has joined the out crowd.

She is the latest Hollywood celebrity to move from the big screen to country life.

“I am just loving the fact that my Christmas movie characters have rubbed off on me,” Danica McKellar told PEOPLE. “I think it’s just a wonderful example of life imitating art.”

Danica McKellar is best known for playing the character of Winnie Cooper, the love interest of Fred Savage’s character, Kevin Arnold, on “The Wonder Years.”

Now, she is known as a mathematics writer and educational advocate, in addition to being an actress.

Recent acting credits include several Hallmark movies.

You know these Hallmark movies, where the main character comes from a big city to visit a small town for work or to escape their world?

The main character ends up meeting a local resident, falls in love, and moves to that small town.

Well, she fell for it heart in hand.

Danica and her husband, lawyer Scott Sveslovsky, had a similar experience.

They’re not from Tennessee but when they were still dating, they spent a great weekend there. Danica was filming in Kentucky and they couldn’t stand to be apart.

They agreed to meet in Nashville for one weekend. Scott flew to Nashville and Danica drove there from Kentucky.

The two of them had a great time in Nashville. That’s why making the decision to move there was easy to make.

One other fact solidified their decision.

“Memphis and Nashville are both entertainment cities. They’re known for music,” Danica mentioned. “Being from L.A. and being an entertainer, it’s nice to have creative people around.”

When they got there, they knew it was the right place for them.

For Danica, it was the perfect blend of nature, family, and art.

Plus she’s got a HUGE backyard.

She also has the perfect item to place in her backyard: a trampoline!

“I jump on that thing all the time,” Danica shared. “We’re thinking about putting a pool in at some point, but I’m like, ‘Yeah, you know what? I’m having a lot of fun as-is.'”

In the true spirit of Christmas TV movies, Danica hosted Thanksgiving for her family in Tennessee.

Danica is so excited that she wants to put up her Christmas tree before Thanksgiving.

Now, Danica is busy turning it into their dream home. She and her family love their new life and they are so excited to explore even more about their new city.

In fact, she is more concerned about making the leaves last longer and not falling too fast during the fall.

Yes, she has definitely adjusted well to country life.
