It doesn’t have to matter if you were born with a difficult life, but if you make a way to rise above your current situation then you will succeed.

This 19-year-old village girl was laughed at when she joined a beauty pageant but ended up surprising them all.

Beauty pageants have been part of our lives since the 1880s. It started in 1888 wherein the title of ‘beauty queen’ was awarded to an 18-year-old Creole contestant at a pageant in Spa, Belgium. It soon became popular that The Miss World contest started in 1951 while the Miss Universe started in 1952.

To bring in delegates for each country, they conduct a beauty pageant for each country. These pageants are conducted on different levels until one will be picked to represent the country in various events. Since each beautiful candidate must be competing with other candidates, they must possess all the values and skills required for a beauty queen.

One woman joined the contest in the hopes of taking home the crown.

This village girl grew up in a province in Vietnam. When she was little, she thought that she going to work and grow up on their family farm. She may have been ridiculed by her peers for working on a farm, yet it taught her the value of hard work and perseverance.

Yet, what they didn’t know is that the girl was destined for great things.

Ðo Thi Hà is a 19-year-old girl who lived in a rural town in Vietnam. She knew nothing about living in luxury or spending money on trinkets. All she cared about was taking care of the cows and other livestock on their farm.

She also worked in the field since it was their primary source of income. Do was happy with her simple life. She never complained unlike other people in the world who asked for any material things from their parents.

However, as was getting older, her family’s financial state grew worst.

The farm wasn’t doing well that they may end up living in the streets. She couldn’t sleep at night knowing she had to do something for her family. With a firm resolve, the girl began saving up for college.

She was able to go to university at National Economics University, Hanoi in 2018.

To help support herself and send money to her family, Do Thi Ha worked as a waitress and a calf carrier. She really tried her best to help her family. However, it all changed when she saw a beauty ad.

Determined to help her family, she joined the beauty contest.

The only problem was Do didn’t know how to wear makeup or act as a beauty candidate. But, it was because of her natural aura and vibe that judges loved her. She was full of confidence and grace that she won. From then on, she began participating in other beauty pageants.

In 2019, she participated in the Miss Vietnam pageant.

For a girl who grew up in a farm and who didn’t know anything about beauty contests, she ended up taking home the crown. During the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant, Ðo Thi Hà was asked the question, “If you become Miss Vietnam 2020, do you think you are a role model for young people?”

She replied, “I think I bring all the necessary and sufficient elements of Vietnamese girls. I think whether I am a role model for young people or not, I always must inspire young people. I will do that.

Do is truly an inspiration for so many women.

Ðo Thi Hà stands out due to her simple and pure beauty. This beauty with brains will compete at the Miss World 2020 stage. She will surely make the people of Vietnam proud.
