They go by many names: mommy, mama, or just plain mom, to name a few. These are some of the names we call the most special woman in our lives – our mothers.
They also come in many shapes, yet they can be defined in a single phrase – they are selfless people who love us unconditionally. Throughout our lives, they fulfill many roles that help shape us to become who we are now. They carried us in their wombs for nine months and continued to raise us until we are ready to leave their nest.
Our mothers also serve as the greatest influence in our lives. The lessons we learned from them as kids stick with us even after many years have gone by.
And often they have our mom’s face all over them; their voices still ring in our ears.
Their lessons, their rules, their sayings, and even those hurtful words they uttered out of love when they reprimand us, are still in our heads. That no matter how much we complain about them being so loud and nosy, we will those times eventually. And in the end, those lessons remain as some of the best pieces of advice we have ever received.
They have done so many things for us, that is why we pay tribute to these amazing women. Just like this loving son who prepares the sweetest surprise for her mother.
Whenever you ride on a plane, you just want to be seated comfortably in silence and pray not to be disturbed by some feet kicking behind your chair.
However, this woman’s flight dives even before the airplane takes off when she gets called out by the captain. Being summoned through numerous speakers, your name echoing across the whole aircraft is just so embarrassing; you might as well cancel your flight. It is definitely not a situation you want to be in.
The pilot prepares a heartwarming surprise to pay tribute to her mom.
The woman featured in the video is Mary, who used to work as a flight attendant in the same airline sixty years ago.
With her eyes wide, she suddenly gets nervous. But when she hears the next few words from the captain speaking, her heart gets filled with so much joy, and her eyes brimming with tears.
Her eldest son, Robert, surprises her as one of the captains of that plane. Robert saunters to his mom to give her a salute and a present, in commemoration of this wonderful day. He proceeds to give her the tightest hug and tells her how much he loves her, with a peck on her cheek.
The meaning of being a mother is virtually endless. Being a mother is perhaps the hardest but most rewarding job a woman will ever experience.

Mary had to leave her job to raise her children.
