Living with Alzheimer’s can be tough, but this old man is taking it in stride
Life is all about treasuring the small things. The small moments that make us feel like precious time is all we have are both endearing and bittersweet. Diseases like Alzheimer’s remind us why it’s so important to treat each delicate second we have with our loved ones like it could be our last.
A TikTok account made by Carly Favorito shows her amusing her uncle, Roger, with hilarious remarks. This funny gal is making the best of the situation by laughing it off as much as possible. Roger has no problem going along with her sense of humor.
The two make for worthy entertainment if you’re in need of a good laugh!
It seems love is a common theme amongst their topics of conversation. Carly is always questioning exactly how much adoration her uncle has for her. To her surprise, it’s not much really. Roger is as blunt as the end of a baseball bat when it comes to his brutally honest responses. He’s not letting this silly disease getting in the way of living a life of comedy with his niece!
C: Do you love me to the moon?
R: To the moon!
C: And back?
R: And back
C: And then back around again?
R: No, once is once
The punchlines are definitely there. It’s unfortunate that it’s a result of the disease itself, but there’s no use weeping for a lost cause. In the end, this is a way for Carly to honor her uncle and remember the better moments of their time together.
It really comes down to whether you view the cup half empty or half full. Roger is not worrying about the next day as much as he is about living in the now. Side note: for an elderly uncle, he’s got an edgy, modern taste in wardrobe choice!

R: Probably not.
We’re surprised Carly hasn’t been completely shocked with some of Roger’s responses. Even if she’s joking around, some of these answers can really prick at the heart. Roger isn’t holding back, though. His commitment to his conviction is unparrelled as he doesn’t hesitate to tell Carly the ugly truth.
His most audacious comment might be when Carly asks who he loves most out of everyone in the room. His response was quick and to the point. “Myself” Roger said without even contemplating a whim of feelings for anyone in his vicinity.
What is Alzheimer’s Disease?
Alzheimer is just a general term for describing memory loss and the degradation of cognitive abilities serious enough to interfere with your daily life. Many people often mistake Alzheimer as a normal part of aging, which is actually not the case. Approximately 200,000 Americans under the age of 65 have younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for Alzheimer. However, there exists a variety of treatments and symptoms available for treatment.
This genre of dark humor has definitely reached its boiling point!
