Julia’s son spotted a mysterious envelope on the floor, and mom was curious to see what was inside. The front of the envelope simply read “With Love, Amen.” Julia quickly turned the envelope around which said: “If this card has found you, open it – it’s yours. God is continually blessing you.”

She opened the envelope, which revealed a nice card – but it’s what was inside that proved to be a total surprise to Julia and her husband.

To their surprise, they found five $20 bills.

The $100 was also accompanied by some nice words left behind by the generous stranger.

“May this gift bring you a little peace today,” the card said. “One day, please pay it forward. May the blessings of God be on you always!”

The card was signed with “Your friend.”

Julia was astonished to find the cash inside simply as an anonymous act of kindness. Even though she’s saddened by the fact that she wasn’t able to say thank you to whoever left the card behind, she told FOX 46 that she is very thankful and will definitely pay it forward.

The news about the card quickly spread and the news station interviewed a couple of other shoppers at the specific Walmart store where the card was found.

“I think people should be more kind to each other,” shopper Lamar McLaughlin said. “It’s just, I will say it’s not hard to do, but it’s uncommon nowadays.”

“I’ve always wanted that there was stuff in this world, and I always said, if I had a chance to pay it forward, I would absolutely do it,” Akili Omari said. “Everybody is divided right now, so to hear about something like that, it’s uplifting and inspiring.”

In fact, Akili is now inspired to start a pay it forward chain and engage in a random act of kindness himself.

The story also quickly spread on social media and it received tons of positive comments.

“Good to hear nice things in this sad & crazy world. God bless the person who did that. Praying the lady who got it was able to pay it forward. (You) never know when someone needs it,” Roxy Price May commented.

What an amazing act of kindness!
