Children can be pretty unpredictable at times — isn’t that just part of life and being a parent? They can’t always behave or else that would just be too weird… Children who are well-behaved on a regular basis? Seems fishy to us.
Last year, these two siblings were told by their mother to go clean the bathroom. So they followed her order and went ahead to the bathroom to start cleaning — or at least, that is what she thought they were doing.
It turns out that, okay, maybe they were cleaning but they were getting a little distracted along the way.
The son, Branson Waite, was found sitting on the bathroom with an acoustic guitar. We’re pretty sure you don’t need a guitar to clean a bathroom but hey, it seemed like he was having a good time. That’s because, at the time, Waite was a recent high school graduate who grew up in a musical family. His mother had actually been helping him post videos of him singing and playing guitar for the last five years.
On the bathroom counter, Branson is joined by his sister Brooke who seems to have gotten a bit of the musical gene as well.
In fact, the two siblings have been singing together for a while, ever since they were young children.
So, while the mother had told them to go clean the bathroom they kind of followed their natural instincts and took a different route.
Their mother actually walked in on the two singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” a sweet John Denver classic that was made even sweeter by these two.
“Country roads, take me home to the place I belong / West Virginia, mountain mama, take me home, country roads,” the two sang together in perfect unison.
And not only were they in perfect unison but they were also nailing some pretty great harmonies that made it all the more beautiful. They really show that they have some serious talent, it only makes sense that they can’t help but sing!
It’s pretty impressive that they were able to multi-task and still sound great.
Brooke stands on the counter while she sings, almost as if she got distracted midway through cleaning. While they sing, she even picks up some cleaning products and begins to use them while maintaining her excellent performance.
She picks up cleaner, sprays the bathroom mirror, and wipes it down all while she and her brother continue on with this gorgeous performance that is worthy of an actual stage and audience.
They definitely got their audience after the video made its way on the internet. It has racked up over 700,000 views since it was uploaded and has garnered nothing but praise and positive comments.
If you tell your kids to go clean the bathroom and then you walk into this instead, can you really even be mad? Most parents would just be proud, especially if they are musical themselves!
Branson has another sister, Calli Waite, and sometimes all three siblings get together to perform a properly-recorded song together. What is better than a family that makes music together?
The family has no doubt faced some hard times together, after being homeless due to the 2009 financial crisis. So to see them all come together and be stronger than ever before is really inspiring.
“They have been singing together since early childhood and music has been the thread that’s brought them closer together through the years.”
There is no doubt that they are going to become super successful in the country music scene. And regardless, we are just happy to see them stick together through the hard times!
