Advertising is such a big industry.

Entrepreneurs would spend thousands of dollars just to get the perfect advertisement.

Once you get the right mix of reviews, sales pitch, and the people to deliver the lines, you’ll get huge sales.

But it should be done honestly.

That’s the aim, right?

Who would have thought that an 11-year-old girl would be able to come up with a sales pitch that garnered millions of views?

Mike Rowe, a well-known American television host, narrator, and media personality shared a YouTube video six years ago.

In the said video, he shared a hilarious e-mail that was sent to him by a friend and producer, Sean McCourt.

According to Sean, he told his 11-year-old daughter, Charlotte, that his best friend from high school was very rich.

Charlotte got curious.

After an hour, Sean saw that there was a sent message in his folder and upon investigation, saw that Charlotte took the chance and e-mailed her father’s ‘very rich’ friend.

Sean read the letter, and he was amused by his daughter’s words and how she created a very convincing, cute, and effective sales letter.

He shared it with Mike Rowe.

He had to. It was later that afternoon when Mike received a copy of the e-mail, and he couldn’t contain his amusement.

He had to share this with his audience.

As an opening to his video, he said that the sun was going down, and he needed to share this as quickly as possible.

He began laughing as he started reading Charlotte’s letter.

According to Charlotte, she belongs to Troop 22918, a minuscule but mighty troop of five people, and that year, she aimed to sell 300 boxes of ‘delectable’ cookies.

She then told Mr. Mikaelson about the cookies themselves. Charlotte expressed her wish for her future customers to hear her honest review.

According to her, some descriptions on the cookies weren’t really up to par.

She accused them of false advertising.

She started rating all boxes from 1 to 10.

The Savannah Smiles gets a 7, while Tretoil gets a 6. Do Si Do gets a fair 5 for being unoriginal and for its bland flavor.

The Samoa gets a good 9, while the Tagalong gets an 8.

Surprisingly, Thin Mint, because of its flavor bags a 9.

For Toffeetastic, in all honesty, Charlotte gives it a 1.

She described it as bleak.

Not only that, but it’s also a gluten-free wasteland and flavorless as dirt.

This time, Mike couldn’t contain his laughter.

He loved Charlotte’s chosen words, from delectable, divine, unoriginal, blandness, and even a wild sense of adventure.

She then said that she didn’t rank any of the cookies a 10 since there’s only one way to get a 10, and that is if you buy and donate a box.

Mike said that he has encountered so many entrepreneurs and according to him, they all could learn something from Charlotte.

He said that this little girl knows the basics of sales.

Mike said you want your customers to ‘trust’ you and for you to gain that trust, you need to be honest.

This is what Charlotte did, and it worked.

Mike posted an update after a few days where he played a video of Charlotte thanking everyone who liked her sales pitch and said that she had sold 7491 boxes.

In a separate interview with On The Road With Steve Hartman, Charlotte said her sales went up to a whopping 29,219 sales total.
