A 6-year-old girl named Jordynn is being hailed a hero after her quick thinking helped first responders to quickly arrive at her home to assist her mother.

Jordynn was at home with her mother Deja when her mom began to get lightheaded.

Deja fainted and collapsed before hitting her head on the wall.

Jordynn immediately called 911 and told the dispatcher what happened.

“Her eyes are close,” Jordynn bravely told the dispatcher.

“That’s OK. All right. That’s fine. Is she breathing?” the dispatcher asked.

The dispatched then asked the girl what her address was.

According to Seattle Times, kids typically know their addresses between the ages of 4 and 6.

But Jordynn’s address has a lot of numbers to remember.

So, the clever girl ran outside to confirm the address by checking the number of the mailbox, which was 13262.

She ran back inside while still on the phone with the dispatcher.

Thankfully, Deja came to and was able to take the phone and speak to the dispatcher.

“I don’t know what happened. I got really light-headed and I sat down for a while to like try to make it go away and when I got up everything went back and I hit my head really hard on the wall,” Deja told the dispatcher.

It wasn’t long after this that the first responder arrived.

“Tell Jordyn she did a good job, she gave you the phone before I could tell her,” the dispatcher said.

Thankfully Deja was OK. Deja said she was incredibly proud of her daughter to have been so brave during something that was likely a very scary situation for her.

Others mentioned that the story was a good reminder for them to prepare their children and household for a situation like this.

“What an amazing little girl, her mama is lucky to have her but she obviously has taught her well. This is a good reminder for me to put our address and phone number, emergency contacts, etc on the fridge or somewhere easily accessible/able to be seen in case of an emergency,” one parent wrote.
