When was the last time you did a generous thing out of the goodness of your heart? When was the last time you went out of your way to help a stranger without waiting for anything in return?
Well, if you haven’t worked on your karma lately maybe watching this incredible video by LifeVestInside might do the trick and inspire you!
For those who aren’t familiar with LifeVestInside, it’s is a non-profit organization and as it’s stated on their official page their mission is “dedicated to inspiring, empowering and educating people of all backgrounds to lead a life of kindness.”
Their video “Kindness Boomerang – ‘One Day'” on their YouTube channel was published a while back and quickly became popular.
Since then the video has accumulated more than 34 million views, with its message being always relevant!
You have probably heard the saying “what goes around, comes around”, this video might actually remind you a lot of this concept.
In the video, as it says in its description, “the camera tracks an act of kindness as it’s passed from one individual to the next and manages to boomerang back to the person who set it into motion”.
It’s a quite beautiful and meaningful script, as we watch step-by-step this human chain of goodness and generosity progress in this urban landscape.
The video starts off with a young boy falling from his skateboard and fortunately for him, a construction worker, wearing a “vest”, helps him up.
From there, the boy goes to help an old woman carry her grocery bags across the street. In this way, the person who was helped moves on to help the next one, and so on this beautiful pattern of generosity starts shaping.
It really makes you wonder how small acts such as those depicted in the video that often might be overlooked can really make a difference to someone else. For example, the young man who helped another to carry his suitcase in the building, or the man who bought an extra hotdog for the homeless man in the street.
This video is so relevant and it will stay relevant regardless of the time, as it is connected to the basic essence of being a decent human being. It’s no wonder that schools choose to show this video to their students, trying to inspire them.
A girl asked on the comment section of the video, “who else watched this at school and realized how good this video actually is?”
It’s really positive when you see the impact that it makes, especially on the younger generation!
At the end of the video, we see that the last person who received kindness is the person who started it all, the constructor worker who went out of his way to make sure that the young boy was okay after his fall.
In conclusion, it’s so true what Frank Sonnenberg said, “Karma is like a boomerang. I hope you have many happy returns.”
