A gray-haired woman named Ruth walked into The Makeover Guy’s salon looking for a change, and to do something positive for herself.
After a day with Christopher Hopkins and his team, she stepped out to show her husband the stunning results. Let’s just say his reaction was priceless!
Ruth’s transformation is so memorable that it was uploaded again onto the stylist’s YouTube channel as a “MAKEOVERGUY Favorite.” Get ready for gorgeous night and day results.
Ruth and her husband are from the city of Taylors Falls, Minnesota. Believe it or not, he actually was the one who did the research for the makeover!
There are certain things husbands can do that would earn them “extra points” in a marriage. Booking a day of beauty for you with renowned stylist Christopher Hopkins? Yep, that would do it!
For Ruth, the makeover was to help build self-confidence and meant to be a special activity just for her. A lot of wives and moms put themselves at the bottom of the list – so surely it was well-deserved.
Christopher is extremely talented when it comes to beauty transformations, so unsurprisingly, he knew “at a glance” what he wanted to do with Ruth.
But before he just started making changes, Christopher had an important question for her. He asked, “Do you want to be gray?” Immediately Ruth responded, “No.” Fortunately, it was the exact answer The Makeover Guy needed in order to carry out his vision!
According to the Emerita website, Clairol did a study in 2008 and discovered that approximately 75% of women in the U.S. color their hair.
Christopher, who’s been changing lives with his makeovers for decades, could tell how “stunningly beautiful” Ruth was. However, her gray hair had more of an “invisible” effect.
So, it was time to say bye-bye to the natural gray, and hello to a shade of blonde! The Minnesota resident couldn’t hold back her shocked reaction looking in the mirror. It was certainly different – but just wait until you see her with the hair color, style, and makeup all put together.
They’re gorgeous results that blew her husband away.
After the makeover, Ruth walks into the room where her husband is waiting. A huge smile quickly takes over his face and he says, “Oh wow, this was the right decision.”
In fact, Ruth’s husband thinks she looks so good that he was already making some future plans.
He explains to Christopher:
“I tell ya, she got mad at me for going to Arizona for three months in the winter. There is no way I’m going to leave her home looking like this.”
