Children are adorable, funny, and oh-so-cute. They are many things, and we love ’em for that! However, one thing they certainly are not is reliable.
How could they be, after all? They have no real concept of promises, obligations, rules, or normal behaviors. We teach them these things over time, of course, but at the beginning it’s kind of a free for all.
When we bring our young children out in public, pretty much anything can happen. We can do our best to make it go our way but ultimately, it is out of our control.
These simple truths are only magnified when you put your child in an important situation.
Your child at a wedding vs. your child at the playground is not the same thing.
That’s why they usually don’t have the super important jobs at weddings, like being a bridesmaid or best man.
This is why children are usually given the jobs of ring bearers or flower girls. They’re not too high risk, the whole wedding isn’t depending on it, and it still gives them optimal time to be their adorable little selves.
Everyone can appreciate how freakin’ cute a flower girl is!
Nothing can go wrong with that, right? Well…
Turns out, even if a young child is the flower girl, things can still go horribly wrong. Why? Because like we said before: young children are wildly hard to control. Especially in important and high-pressure situations.
This little girl is the perfect example of that.
While the young lady, Teagan, is still super adorable, she didn’t really do what she was supposed to when she was a flower girl at a wedding back in 2011.
She was initially supposed to walk down the aisle before the bride, as most flower girls do. Except she decided to be different — she decided to go against the grain.
So instead of walking, she began to scream.
Teagan screamed for the groom and boy, did she scream like hell. At first, it caught friends and family off guard as they waited for her to start walking.
But one scream turned into multiple screams… Over and over and over again.
It got to a point where everyone who was sitting in their seats was just laughing uncontrollably. Clearly, everyone was confused as there seemed to be nothing to scream about. Teagan wasn’t in danger, no one was around her, everything else in the immediate area was calm.
This little girl had it in her to just keep screaming for no real reason, though. And while that’s not really ideal at a traditional wedding, it was so funny, we wouldn’t mind if more weddings incorporated more bits of humor like this in the future.
We’re so happy that someone captured this moment on video because now we all get a chance to laugh at it even if we don’t personally know the bride and groom.
The video was so entertaining and hilarious, it went viral. Now it has over 3 million views, with several comments praising the little girl.
“She did her job yellegantly,” one person joked.
“I’m quite sure she was telling the groom to run for his life,” another person wrote.
One person even gave us a great reminder: “The most beautiful memories are the ones we don’t expect. Enjoy your babies because they grow up so fast!”
