Dancing is a form of storytelling.
Dancing in itself is a really fun type of art to watch. But when it’s combined with other forms of art — like acting or singing — to tell a story, that’s when it becomes really special.
Seasoned pros.
Mason Idler and Tatum Ramsey were both 14-years-old at the time of this video, which was uploaded in August 2015. Despite their young age, they danced as though they both had decades of experience under their belts.
It was quite a spicy dance routine if you ask us!
If you’re someone who loves to follow along with a storyline, or if you’re someone who loves love, you’re going to be into this. The song they chose to dance to was “Teenage Love Affair” by Alicia Keys, so they did just that — they mapped out a story, through dance, about a teenage love affair. And boy, was it spicy.
The dance, which was choreographed by Erik Saradpon for Temecula Dance Company, starts out with the 14 year old girl sitting on the edge of the stage, front and center. She is holding a notebook, to symbolize that she is in school or class, when her male dance partner approaches.
As soon as her partner joins her at the front of the stage, their chemistry together is immediately apparent.
The two dancers are completely in sync as they move their bodies. They throw in a lot of really impressive dance bits but then also throw in some motions that make it feel almost as if they are acting out a scene from a great rom com.
The boy continues to chase the girl across the stage (through dance, of course) and they both go back and forth as they interact with each other. The whole thing is super light, fun and flirtatious.
If these two decide they don’t want to dance anymore, they should definitely consider acting!
The story they tell keeps us on our feet the whole time. They get close, and then they move further away from each other. It’s almost like they’re having a conversation but with their bodies. So much talent!

The song choice and the dance moves go perfectly together. The two dancers are basically acting out what you’d imagine the song is about. It’s so relevant and fun, filled with so much juicy flirtation. It really is a love affair — except everyone who is watching is falling in love as well!
The dance is so good, it went viral and garnered almost 5 million views.
The performance is so impressive, the video of it has gotten nearly 5 million views. That’s quite a lot of views for two 14 year old dancers who are just at the very beginning of their careers!
At the same time, it is pretty hard to believe that they are just starting out.
At the end of the routine — and after nailing every little detail of every move — the crowd gives the two dancers huge applause.
Then they both bow with super big smiles on their faces. So much joy!
