You know what they say about fate and destiny. Well, not everyone believes in them, but sometimes you just can’t remain indifferent when you hear about stories like the one coming up below.

Heidi and Edward met in college. They were both in the third year of their studies, and Edward just happened to stay in the house where Heidi used to live the previous year.
So, when he tried to wash his clothes and realized he had no idea how the washing machine worked, he reached out to her for help.
“He didn’t know how to use the washing machine in the student flat,” Heidi told The Sun. “And he found a piece of post with my name on, realised I had lived there the year before and decided I could help.”
Heidi, who admitted that she replied to his message on Facebook just because he was “hot”, was at the time studying business and economics at Newcastle University, while Edward was a psychology student.
Soon after they chatted on Facebook, they happened to bump into each other during a night out with friends, and Heidi took the chance to introduce herself.
Since then, the two became a couple and neither could imagine how life would be without the other.
When they finished college, they got jobs, and they ended up buying a flat in Wandsworth and moving in together.

In 2015, Edward proposed to her, and she said yes! The happy couple had a party to celebrate their engagement with friends and family.
That’s when Heidi’s and Edward’s mothers started talking about vacations, and Heidi’s mom remembered her daughter once had a romance with a boy called Ed while on holiday in Bodrum at the age of six.

And, while Heidi herself didn’t remember that boy, when her mother went back home she looked into old albums and found numerous photos of the two children together.
And that’s when Heidi and Edward got shocked. The six-year-old boy in Turkey had grown up to be Heidi’s fiance.
“I have no memory of meeting Ed as a child, but from the photos we had been spending an awful lot of time together while we were on holiday,” Heidi said.
It seems that they had spent lots of time together during that vacation and, after more than a decade life brought them together again.
The couple got married in 2017 and their wedding invites featured a recreation of their old photo with them wearing swimsuits and smiling, side by side.

Of course, the fact that they happened to meet again after so many years and fall in love was the main talk among their guests during the wedding reception.
The couple went to the Maldives for their honeymoon, but they also traveled to Bodrum to see the place where they first met for one more time.
What an amazing story that makes you believe fate is real.
