Makeovers can truly be life-changing, and no one proves that better than Christopher Hopkins, an entrepreneur, entertainer, cyber-star, author, and appearance aficionado, otherwise known as MAKEOVERGUY.
It goes without saying that many people in this modern age struggle with confidence issues. The media is circulating pictures of beautiful women on a daily basis, as well as voicing opinions on how we should look, dress, do our hair, how much or little should we eat, what we should eat, how we should present ourselves, and much, much more.
With all of this being often subconsciously consumed into our lives on a daily basis, you can forgive people for having low self-esteem.
When Maggie, from Vero Beach, Florida, arrived at the makeover HQ, her confidence was at rock bottom. She had recently lost her husband, at only 52 years old, and naturally, in the stress of the loss, the last thing she thought about was taking care of her physical appearance.
You can already see in the before shots that Maggie is already beautiful. However, after all she’d been through, she looks a little tired- and we already can’t wait to see how she would look with a fresh new hairstyle and color.
Speaking about the loss of her husband, Maggie says, “The bad is that I lost my husband, but the good is that I have grandbabies.”
You can clearly see how being widowed has had an effect on Maggie, and as she fights back tears, she says:
“He (her husband) was always like, ‘take care of yourself’.”
So with her head held high, Maggie is ready to be made over. And as she sees herself for the first time with her new look, she puts her hand to her mouth in shock.
Maggie’s gray hair has been dyed a beautiful blonde color, and her skin now looks youthful and dewy. But the biggest transformation is the huge smile that now lights up her face.
“Oh my gosh, I didn’t think I could look like this!” Maggie says in shock. “This does not look like me at all.”
“I never thought they would dye my hair blonde,” she adds. “I look like my daughter!
Introducing herself at the beginning of the video, Maggie says that she’s 52 but feels around 30- and we think that thanks to her makeover, she could now actually pass for somebody in their thirties!
It’s amazing how much this makeover has improved Maggie’s confidence, and people took to the comments to pay their condolences to the widow:
“Her husband is smiling down at his beautiful wife. Great and flattering makeover….looks so much younger and slimmer! : )”
“Maggie, I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband. You look so beautiful, I’m sure your husband would be so happy that your taking good care of yourself.”
