You Should See The View From Down Here
As a parent, the adversity and challenges of raising a child can become cumbersome at many times. Not to mention as the child gets older, especially in the toddler phase, they begin to mold their own unique personalities and that’s when a new set of challenges begin to unfold. Everyone has had that experience with that certain child that won’t listen or budge just because it’s simply woven into the fabric of their universe. It can be quite infuriating, but some parents operate smoothly and take as many episodic tantrums as they can with graceful stride.
It takes two to tango, but apparently this little one decided walking is overrated as she laid flat on her back on her dad’s driveway. To our amazement, the dad responds as causally chilled as an ice cube on a hot summer day.
The toddler’s name is Juliette and she clearly has a big statement to make. The little munchkin seems to be having a moment to gather herself. Maybe she was reflecting on her good deeds in school, or maybe she was talking to her imaginary friend, Bob? Whatever the case may be, it seems like she just wanted to drop down and take it easy.
As Juliette continued to lay still, we couldn’t help notice how nonchalant he was about the entire thing as he continued to unload his grocery bags.
It looks like Dad already knows the drill with his little one. By his reaction, it seems this isn’t the first time he’s encountered his toddler’s odd behavior. Regardless, at least we can see he is willing to give her the personal space she needs to find comfort at the moment, even if it is the flat surface of a parking garage driveway.
After finally finishing up with all of the bags, it was time for daddy to come and face his next big challenge. However, instead of intervening and interrupting her zen mode, he decided to do something even better.
To the common dad, this might seem like quite the challenge. Sure it sounds easy when you think of just simply telling your child to get up, but hey you never know what’s going on in the mind of a child. It could be a moment in which Juliette has devised an idea that could take human existence many decades in the future, but dad has to do his job and meddle in misunderstood circumstances.
Not this Dad. He’s a tried and true veteran of the toddler games and he’s letting it show on full display. With one brisk lift from his arm, Dad grabs Juliette safely from her jacket and begins the extraction back inside their home. Well, that was easy! What was even more impressive was that Juliette did not seem to be bothered the least bit!
Mom says Juliette is, “A little girl who loves to laugh and make others laugh.” She also says, “What’s even funnier is that she is more than 3-feet-tall and over 37 pounds heavy and the jacket didn’t break. She often does stuff like this and this is just how we love her.”
Could this have been a ploy from the start by Juliette for a seemingly innocent joy ride back home? Was this her way of rewarding herself for her passing grades? Whatever the case may be, daddy’s little girl is never disappointed once he comes to save the day.
