26-year-old Rachel Connealy from Tampa, Florida just proved to all brides that looking gorgeous on the big day doesn’t have to be excessively expensive.
In fact, she’s stunned so many people with her $3 find.
Connealy’s look had viewers comparing her to o the Duchess of Sussex’s elaborate Givenchy ensemble three years ago. Except she didn’t have to spend as much as the royals.
Her dress featured draping details and a sheer capelet but it wasn’t Connealy’s only find. She found another ‘dream wedding dress’ at Goodwill for $5, which she wore to the reception.
She wrote on TikTok, ‘You never know what you’ll find at the thrift two weeks before your wedding.’
Rachel’s second dress featured a mini cut with puffy white sleeves and a lace skirt.
And the grand total for both of her gowns was just $8.
Not bad considering she’s been compared to Meghan Markle!
A good eye and a trained wallet does wonders.
The money-savvy bride went viral on Tiktok, earning millions of views and countless reactions.
Connealy’s $3 gown has women all over social media praising her for the cheap find which still gave her that fairy tale look.
Compare that to Meghan Markle’s $265,000 dress!
Dress like a queen, walk like a queen!
Sometimes, less really is more, and even this viewer named Lindy K had her own story to share.
“I regularly shop at thrift stores (or “op shops” as we call them here in Australia) & I wore pieces that I thrifted for my wedding day. I got married at the courthouse and we had KFC for dinner. My wedding dress cost $120.00, and I had room to spend way more, even up to thousands … but I have no regrets. Husband and I got married with just our parents there and we saved a ton of money + felt so special on the day! I saw this on TikTok was so happy to see another fellow thrifter-bride! Good on her! She looks radiant and I adore the sleek straight hair look You go girlfriend!”
Rachel’s got brides-to-be now scurrying to the nearest thrift shops in the hopes of finding something similar.
Think of it this way, all that money saved could go to the new house or even travel plans.
Her husband is a very happy man.
Every bride deserves to look her absolute best on her wedding day, and even the groom wants to see his soon-to-be wife look stunning.
But where most use lots of cash to achieve the look, Connealy just spent a few bucks.
$3. Read that again and say it again. Three Dollars.
And she found the dress in a corner of the thrift shop, away from all the other dresses.
Rachel called it a gift from God.
And she may be right after all. That’s a lot of money saved!
