Becoming a grandparent is without a doubt one of life’s greatest joys. They get to hold and love them when they’re born, which often brings back fond memories of when they became parents. Then as the children begin to grow up, grandmas and grandpas build a strong bond that lasts a lifetime.
The interesting side of grandkids
When it comes to grandchildren, there are two distinct sides. One is that they’re predictable and the other is they’re unpredictable. In other words, parents and grandparents can usually figure out what children are going to do but once in a while, they’re caught off guard.
Bonding from a distance
A lot of grandchildren and grandparents are fortunate enough to live relatively close to one another but that’s not always the case. This is when video chats come in handy. However, some people prefer to record videos, which they then send to the grandparents for them to watch when it’s convenient.
Checking in on the grandparents
One day, two brothers wanted to talk to their grandma and grandpa. Because they live in London and the grandparents reside in Scotland, their mom decided to record them. This was supposed to something sweet that would make the grandparents smile and show them just how much their two young grandsons love and miss them.
The mom had to share
After recording the boys, their mom knew she had to upload the video on social media. And it’s a really good thing that she did because it made a lot of people around the world laugh. Actually, what ended up happening was downright hilarious.
Just another video from the grandkids
At the start of the video, you see the two young boys sitting on a couch. Wearing pajamas, it’s hard to tell if it’s morning or evening but regardless, they look quite comfortable. The first thing you hear is from the older brother who tells his grandparents that he loves them while his younger boy looks on.
Choreographed message
Then as part of their perfectly choreographed message, the two boys say “We hope you’re feeling good.” We’re not sure if the grandparents were ill or whether it had just been a while since the boys had seen them but while speaking, they remained focused so they didn’t mess anything up.
Where’d that come from?
After delivering their joint message, the two boys stop talking. For a few seconds, they just stare ahead at their mom who’s still recording … it was as though they weren’t sure if they were supposed to do or say something else. Then out of the blue and being completely serious, the younger boy says, “We are alive and we hope you aren’t dead.”
That was sweet …
… and somewhat bizarre and super funny. We’re pretty sure the little boy was just saying that everyone in the family is doing well and that he hopes his grandparents are too. While he had a nice message on his mind, you could say that perhaps he needed to work a little more on the delivery.
Mom couldn’t stop laughing
After the now curious message, they wait for some kind of response from their mother. By looking at their faces, you can tell the mom was struggling to hold back her laughter. This is proof that you never know what grandkids are going to do or say.
Now everyone’s laughing
Seeing their mom laugh, the two boys start to giggle. The funniest part … these boys had no idea why their mom found the message so hysterical. In their young minds, what they said to their grandma and grandpa made perfect sense.
