A child waking up and greeting the morning with a smile is one of the best moments a parent can witness. It is a precious part of the day that they won’t want to miss.
And, for one couple in Boston, mornings with their infant son is more special than the rest. They noticed that their little one has a priceless reaction whenever he’s being unswaddled every morning.
His reaction to unswaddling is absolutely charming, no wonder his videos have already gone viral!
Meet Kaden, also known as “KPtheBaby”. He may be a tiny baby, but he’s definitely got a dedicated following on social media, all thanks to his Dad, Kent Siri, who made an account for him where his cute and adorable videos are uploaded for netizens to watch.
As it turns out, Kaden is a baby who has a strong “startle reflex”. This somehow gets in the way of his sleeping which makes him cranky and restless during the night. His parents have observed this and found that swaddling ould help in making sure that the child sleeps well.
“Swaddling makes him feel safe and secure and helps him sleep,” Kent explained.
Swaddling Kaden did give him a peaceful night’s sleep because being wrapped up nice and tight like a cute burrito made little Kaden feel safe and prevented him from getting startled by just about anything. It was a good solution and something that caused this little guy to form a really lovely habit every morning and after every nap.
When his parents finally unswaddle him after sleeping, little Kaden does something unusual.
The moment he is freed from his wrap, baby Kaden would throw his tiny arms up and stretch his little frame with a happy grin on his face. It’s definitely the cutest thing and his parents are quite overjoyed to see his smiling face whenever it happens. Kaden’s Mom and Dad always made sure they get to capture these cute moments on camera.
Eventually, Kent was able to compile a number of footages with his son throwing his “spring-loaded” arms and decided to upload a video on social media. He even added a line from the movie Braveheart, thinking that it would be something that their other family members would find cute and hilarious at the same time.
Kent certainly did not anticipate the amazing response that people online gave for Kaden’s unswaddling video got.
They were totally loving the videos he uploaded and were giving such positive praise for him and his family. This prompted Kent to make a video compilation of his son’s unswaddling moments and shared the compilation with everyone online.
Netizens clearly loved the videos and were charmed by young Kaden!
The clips were a fun compilation of cute Kaden’s arm-throwing episodes mixed with music for whenever his arms go up. The videos are creative and fun, giving Kaden’s unusual habit even more charm and leaving the viewers absolutely wrapped around the little boy’s chubby fingers.

While netizens find Kaden’s swaddling safe and acceptable, some have raised their concern as to whether swaddling really makes the child comfortable. His parents are quick to clarify:
“Kaden LOVES being swaddled. It provides him comfort and security when he sleeps. As many clinical professionals can attest, swaddling is very much a pediatrician-recommended method for soothing babies when they sleep. So long as the baby is not rolling over himself/herself, it’s completely safe. Kaden has a strong startle reflex (also known as the Moro Reflex) which causes him to jolt a lot at night and wake himself up. Since we started swaddling him, he sleeps much better and he loves it. Hope this helps clarify things!”
