People perform in public or busk to earn a little cash. Some do it as a way to express their passion for music while others busk to get more gigs.
Busking turned Allie Sherlock’s life around
She started gaining attention after performing Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket Flowers in public. She uploaded the video on the internet and since then, her number of followers grew.
Eventually, she was invited to the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
There, she performed Adele’s A Million Years Ago. If you’ve heard the song, you’d know that it’s not an easy one to cover. However, with Allie’s mesmerizing voice, performing it in front of a TV audience of millions was a piece of cake. She was also able to sign a big record deal.
Despite her success, Allie still remembers where she started. So, she went back on the streets to perform in front of other people.
With her guitar, Allie left Dublin shoppers speechless with her performance of Shallow.
She belted out the lyrics of the song with such incredible vocals. Listening to her, it’s hard to believe that the voice was coming from a young lady who’s just 13 years old!
People gathered around her as she performed.
That’s quite expected. Apart from her beautiful voice, Allie also knows how to connect with her crowd. At some parts of the song, she had her eyes closed. However, she made sure to look at them from time to time.
Some people were just staring at Allie as if they’re captivated by her charm. Others took out their phones and started recording the performance. They probably wanted to immortalize the moment.
Her performance has over 16 million views on YouTube.
Most of the people who’ve witnessed her sing the song had the same reaction as the crowd who watched her perform live. They adore the young girl and her enchanting voice.

There was also this viewer who happened to be a fan of Lady Gaga, the original artist who released the song. She shared:

Allie might still be young but with her voice, she’s clearly destined to be a star. Her YouTube channel has over 4.5 million subscribers while her Instagram page has 1.6 million followers.

Some of the songs she covered include Coldplay’s Fix You, Dua Lipa’s Break My Heart, and Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black. Apart from her solo performances, she does duets, too. And just like her Shallow performance, people loved them. One good example is her performance with Cuan D. They performed Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love, gaining more than 4 million views.
