6 boys take the stage – bring the house down within seconds of the performance
Don't let their age fool you. They're phenomenal.

It’s one thing to be good at something, and it’s another to look good doing it. With enough practice and all the confidence, you can do both. Just ask these gymnasts from Ibara high school.

Gymnastics is not an easy sport. That’s pretty obvious. Most of us struggle to even bend over or do a stretch without hurting some parts of our bodies. Imagine doing triple somersaults and landing perfectly on your feet.

Heck, most of us would rather skip P.E all together.

Which brings us to these 6, who have clearly not been skipping P.E. First, a quick shout to the crowd from the first guy. Then, no more time is wasted and they make their way to the center.

Already, it’s pretty clear they’re good at what they do.

The other 5 assume the classic semi-handstand with one leg in the air, curled gently towards the toes.

Their friend assumes the role of lead for the beginning, and he stands front and center in a pose that’s rather reminiscent of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

And as soon as the music starts, their spectacular flexibility is in full show. Shifting and twisting to new poses that look almost painful for most of us to try ourselves.

One more thing that’s in full display is their incredible synchronization. The kind you can only achieve through nonstop, long and rigorous rehearsal and practice.

Then, 5 consecutive backflips in perfect sync, followed by a front flip and more graceful landings. Imagine the sheer pressure in their heads as they try not to mess that up.

There’s a bit of an elephant in the room here that needs addressing : Yes, it’s not everyday you see boys taking up a sport requiring grace and poise quite like this. It’s hard to deny that most boys shy away from things that aren’t, well….”manly”.

Maybe seeing these Ibara high school students will change that?

What’s more, the balance skills here are nothing to gloss over too. It’s easier said than done to balance on one leg for more than a few seconds. Doing that, while maintaining the synchronization these guys have, is still far from the most impressive thing they can do.

And this isn’t gymnastics without some tossing.

Risky is hardly the word for some of these moves. That little basketball toss they did, having one of them 8 feet in the air while his friend gets tossed over him and between his legs, is nearly terrifying to watch.

So many things could gone wrong there, but Ibara’s highschool gymnasts are a cut above most of us. They pulled it off perfectly, and got a much deserved cheer from the crowd.

Rhythmic gymnastics in particular is all about the flow, as the name implies. Ibara’s amazing high school team here is a perfect example of what the art is all about.

Take the flashy, exhibitionist movements of a gymnast and turn it into a dance. That’s rhythmic gymnastics.

I’d like to say these 6 make it look easy, but honestly, it still looks incredibly difficult even when someone good is doing it. So these guys really deserve all the respect.

After one of them is tossed into the air, he sticks the landing flawlessly. And the same goes for the next guy, and the next.

This isn’t even the first time Ibara High School has been the showstopper in the gymnastics department. They gave a similarly spectacular performance back in 2016.

Is there anything they can’t do?

Every toss, somersault, landing and twirl is perfect. No one is going to forget this performance, that much is certain.

Let’s not forget all those splits they’re doing, since they’re doing it quite a lot. They’ve gone above and beyond to make this routine match the song they chose, and it’s entrancing to witness.

The standing ovation they got is much-deserved, anything less would have been a crime.

A phenomenal show of synchronization, balance, and agility like this needs to be appreciated in full. Do play the video below, and share this article too!
