When he gets on to the notes, an older woman stops for a while and looks to see who the pianist is. She was amused and amazed to see that it was just a young boy and his 90’s dance music. A mother-daughter tandem walks in on him then stops to watch the impromptu show.

The couple began walking closer to the piano and the young boy continued to impress them with tunes that most of them are familiar with.

It was only 40 seconds into the video at this point, and the crowd is just about to grow.

The boy behind this account is 12-year-old Harrison Crane from Liverpool.

And Crane’s music choices are as interesting as his beginnings as a pianist.

After his video became viral, he and his family were invited to Good morning Britain. The 12-year-old boy from Ormskirk talked about the reaction to his video and performed live in the show.

His father shared with Good Morning Britain that their family doesn’t play music at all.

Harrison has been playing since he was six years old and he mostly learns music by ear and sometimes from YouTube.

When asked on the show why he chose 90’s music to draw in the crowd, Harrison said:

“It’s unbelievable – 90s dance music is the best kind of music. It’s so fun and upbeat.”

The 90s medley he played perfectly included classics such as “Children” by Robert Miles, “Blue” by Eiffel 65, and “Sandstorm” by Darude.

No wonder the older crowd was enjoying the music and were amazed by how a boy knew so much about the songs they grew up with.

This is not the first time that Harrison posted a “how-to” video. In a video that was viewed over 1.5 million times, Harrison performed a medley including Insomnia by Faithless, Wake Me Up by Avicii, and Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.

Mall goers and random strangers can’t help but smile and be impressed at this boy piano rendition of their favorite songs.

While others were putting their phones up to take a video, others are dropping in tips in a bucket. His “how-to” video was aptly named “How To Fill a Tip Bucket Playing A Public Piano”.

But through this spectacular show of talent, one of the best parts of his performance is the applause and the cheers he gets after putting on a beautiful show. While it may be trivial to some of us, this show of endearing support can encourage young hearts to take their talents to new heights.
