In Palm Springs, California, a woman claimed she won a lottery at a local Walmart and wanted to share the money with everyone.
This was true, to some extent.
She paid for everyone’s items. Though she could pay for the purchases, she did not win the lottery. In fact, the young woman turned out to be more than meets the eye.
She’s a well-known celebrity.
For those who don’t know, Sia is an Australian singer and songwriter who started her career back in the mid-1990s.
She has since risen to fame with her hits such as Chandelier, Cheap Thrills, and Elastic Heart to name a few.
Sia is an international pop star.
She began songwriting after she released her fifth studio album We Are Born.
She became uncomfortable with her growing fame and started to write songs for other artists instead. She even said that she wanted a private life.
Her breakthrough was when she released her sixth solo album called 1000 Forms Of Fear, which included the lead single Chandelier, in 2014.
She’s still active in the music industry.
Her 10th album is due for release in 2023.
An angel of a pure heart.
Even with fame, Sia did not stop being a blessing to other people.
This random act of kindness happened on November 27, 2019, just before Thanksgiving. She visited a local Walmart and paid for people’s purchases.
Sia is not bothered going out in public. The hit singer thought no one would recognize her as she often disguises herself in an elaborate fashion while onstage.
And usually, fans don’t realize it’s her right away with only simple clothing.
Without the usual fashion style, most of the shoppers at Walmart did not realize the celebrity in front of them.
Out of nowhere, Sia started paying for the groceries.
People became curious.
But some did recognize her at Walmart, though it took some time for people to notice it was a celebrity paying for their purchases as a random act of kindness.
They showed their appreciation.
A lady handed her flowers as a gesture of appreciation.
Which Sia responded, “Thank you! That’s very sweet,” as seen in the video.
Grocery shoppers were in awe.
They were grateful for what she did. Out of nowhere paying the items for them without asking.
People were just amazed at how kind Sia was in person, regardless of her fame. Going through the counters, being bubbly as she walked by, and paid for the items.
Even though she only introduced herself as Ci Ci, one shopper did recognize her and shared the videos that captured the hearts of viewers.
“The heart and beautiful soul you have for paying for everyone! I’m sorry for telling everyone once I realized who you were,” wrote Adri Buckles. “But this kindness must be acknowledged,” she added.
It was truly a memorable Thanksgiving.
