You underestimate the power of the Coloradans
If you consider yourself a pop-culture enthusiast, then the name âStar Warsâ should have already established itself as time immemorial. The intergalactic movement started back when the first movie was released in 1977 and ever since has taken the world by storm.
Thereâs no denying that the space opera has an alluring cast, a benevolent storyline, and gripping action scenes that will leave you at the edge of your seat. While some of us wear cool t-shirts to commemorate the awesomeness of the movie series, others tune in to the Force and take it to the next level.
Two Coloradans were recently videotaped enacting a lightsaber fighting scene in the middle of the frozen tundra. Usually, people have fun with snow tubing, skiing, and even snowboarding. But this? This is a whole new level of fandom! The video was filmed by Anghelie Elizabeth and has been posted to Facebook for all to see.
These two are without a doubt hardcore fans!
The blistering winds and frosty weather did not frighten the two guys who seemed to be having the time of their life. One was wielding an orange saber while the other held a blue saber to highlight the opposition of Jedi vs Sith. Their joust was a joy to watch! You can see their movements take inspiration from the many battles that take place between good vs. evil.
The Force is definitely strong with these two!
Unfortunately for us, Angehelie said she was only able to catch the end of this interesting dance-like battle. The clip was shot around 7p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2021. So how long were they outside for? You have to be a die-hard Star Wars fan to face such brutal conditions and still have this much fun!
Angehelie was so floored with what she saw, that she now has a lightsaber in the mail because she was inspired by the two lads. They seemed to be having so much fun despite the weather that now itâs causing everyone to relive the good olâ days of Star Wars mania.
âOnly in Colorado can I stand on my balcony and see two men fighting with lightsabers, in 30-degree weather while itâs snowing outside.â Said Anghelie.
In the video, you can see the two men duking it out in style. Their moves are so well choreographed that you almost canât tell the difference! They definitely have had some practice with a lightsaber and it clearly shows. Now if only we had some popcorn and hot chocolate to go along with this dazzling display of saber fencing.
The tension draws high when the man with the blue saber takes a few steps back to regroup himself. It reminds us of the epic fight between Obi Wan and Anakin when the infamous line, âI have the high groundâ became an international slogan for game over. The fact that these two are willing to display their awesome skills in the snow gives us more reason to respect their craft and love for the movies.
Itâs not every day that you see entertainment like this from outside of your balcony.
Weâre glad some people are not shy about getting creative with the snow and doing a little bit more than your average snowman or snow angel. The Force dictates all that happens around us with these two definitely using it to their advantage.
