When we are in public places, it’s pretty common to see different people who are minding their own business.
However, we can’t deny that there are people who would get a little curious about other people. These people would try to stare at some people even without their knowledge – which is uncomfortable.
A guy experienced the same thing one day on the subway of the Big Apple.
He was just riding the metro that day, casually holding his phone and having his earphones in.
He had probably gone for a run or was headed there, listening to his favorite music and playing a fun game on his phone to kill time.
While he was not paying attention to what was going on around him, a little boy sitting next to him was staring at his phone, attracted by the game he was playing.
The eyes of the boy were glued on the man’s phone and he was not minding anyone around him.
Next to the boy, a grown-up woman- possibly his mother- was not paying attention to what her son was doing either.
The man, at some point, probably felt the small eyes piercing him, and turned his head to look at the boy.
The boy was a bit nervous when he was caught staring at his phone. A few moments later, the man forgot about it and returned to his game.
Then, the man did the unexpected.
Not all people would do the same thing.
He unplugged his earphones and handed the phone to the little boy, giving him the chance to enjoy the game, too.
The boy didn’t think twice. He took the phone in his hands and immediately started playing the game that had caught his attention for quite some time!
The mother seemed to be clueless about it.
The man and the kid were clueless that they were being recorded.
The man who gave his phone to the little boy apparently considered his action as nothing special, as something that anyone would do if they had the chance.
But, let’s be honest, not everyone would. Maybe even some people would be bothered by the little guy staring at their phone.
This man is one in a million.
It’s just proof that some people are willing to do something that not everyone would do just to make someone happy – especially if it’s a kid.
Although the man didn’t know that he was being filmed, I hope that he isn’t clueless that he touched many hearts. It’s nice that his kindness has brought hope and inspiration to many people.
