Cartier Carey will show us that everyone can make a difference.

We all know how hard life can be, especially now that we’re facing this unexpected pandemic. It’s harder to go out and find jobs to help us with the bills that we need to pay, as well as for us to provide for our families.

Can you imagine how single parents struggle to provide for their children in this situation? Sometimes, you just want to break down and cry because even if you do your best, it’s just isn’t enough.

Kids 4 Change 757

In Hampton, Virginia, there is an amazing 11-year-old boy who is making a huge difference by selling lemonade. He’s working very hard to earn money, not for himself, but for all those single mothers who really need assistance.

“When I was little, I used to see a lot of people struggling,” Cartier Carey said to Sunny Skyz.

Being aware of the struggles of the people around him, Cartier felt in his heart that he wanted to help. According to his mother, Britney Stewart-Carey, her son has always shown concern, love, and the willingness to help.

Just this summer, Cartier started a small project of selling lemonade and other snacks to his neighborhood for a few hours a day. He then saves the money that he’s earned, not to buy toys or food, but to buy diapers and baby wipes.

He then gives these away to single mothers who need help.

Cartier’s mission was then named “Kids 4 Change 757,” and they aim to help single mothers who are struggling.

You’d be amazed how an 11-year old boy would come up with a mission like this, but according to an interview with CNN, this isn’t the first project that this boy has started.

He used to give away what he calls “Carti packs” that had soap, tissues, and deodorant to homeless people. This was a start for him, and it was a success. He knew he didn’t want to stop there, and now, his project has reached so many people.

A New Hope

For people who are struggling, the smallest help can mean so much. A pack of diapers and baby wipes can already help them so much.

Cartier’s mom shared how proud she is with her son, saying that he has always shown interest in helping other people.

People started noticing Cartier’s heartfelt mission, and in a matter of 3 days, his lemonade stand was able to save around $3,000.

Most kids would want to spend some of the earnings for themselves for all their hard work but not Cartier. He didn’t want to spend anything for himself. He just wants to buy as many diapers and baby wipes as he can and donate it to those who need them.

His mission’s success gave way for him to create a GoFundMe fundraiser, which has now reached $26,923! People all over the world have started noticing his mission, and they have been supportive of him all the way.

For all those single mothers who have started receiving help from Kids 4 Change 757, it’s a new hope. It’s also a way to give them the strength to try again and work harder.

Cartier isn’t just helping them with their kid’s necessities. He is also giving them hope. He wants them to know that they’re not alone, and that there are people who want to help.

Paying it Forward

Around two months ago, a woman came by to see Cartier. She gave the organization $200, and she became emotional after meeting the young man who started this mission.

“You are helping so many people, you don’t have any idea,” she said, and then she started crying. In the video, she shared that she used to struggle too.

“Coming where I came from to this, it’s because of people like you. People gave me diapers, you know? They gave me diapers, toilet papers,” she shared crying.

She also said that she didn’t have the truck that she has now, she knew what it meant to struggle and that she was able to bounce back because of people like Cartier.

“You’re an amazing young man, and you can go far. You start now. You should be so proud of him,” she continued before leaving.

Her words were meaningful and were proof that people like Cartier can change lives. She wanted to pay it forward and decided to donate. Her message moved so many people, and hopefully, inspired them too to support Cartier and his organization.

Last August 26, Britany posted an update on her son’s GoFundMe account where she said:

“Wow!! You guys are amazing!!!Your donations are continuing to help us put diapers and wipes in households that cannot afford them. We have started to ship diapers to different states and are planning to deliver more diapers. We are also working to help more families outside of Virginia. We are hoping to get a work van so that we can safely transport all of the diapers and wipes. We have been hosting numerous diaper distributions and if you are in need please feel free to contact us!”

She also shared photos of Cartier and all the diapers that they were able to purchase – ready to be donated to whoever needs them.

It all started as a small mission, but as they say, if your intentions are pure, you will succeed. Cartier’s Kids 4 Change 757 mission has given so many people new hope. It has also taught all of us that we don’t need to be rich or powerful to help – we just need to have the passion and the initiative to do so.

Don’t forget to follow their social media pages, and of course, their GoFundMe account. We’d love to see more of Cartier’s missions being fulfilled.
