Nature surprises us with so many things that we couldn’t even fathom some of them. It’s mind-boggling, puzzling, and we’re completely in awe of it. The Earth is one big art gallery if we only look around us.
From the lush green forest filled with wildlife to the stunning rock formations worldwide, there’s a piece of nature’s art waiting to be discovered. Too good that we would often second-guess if it’s real or not.
Awesome Viral Photo
One photo went viral in the past days because people couldn’t believe what they were looking at. Theresa Lucas posted this photo on her Facebook account, and while it didn’t have the numbers of huge engagement, it has been passed around so much that it caught the media’s attention.
This is a photo of a cloud. Yep, a unique cloud formation is out-of-this-world; people barely believed it was real. But only one person could attest to that, and it’s Theresa.
The Clouds of Highway 64
Theresa was visiting family and relatives over the weekend, and a storm was brewing as she was about to head home. The clouds were dark, and it seemed like hail was pouring. Her daughter, Leah, was worried and asked where her mom was.
She quickly snapped her location down Highway 64 in Akeley and sent it to her. Theresa had no idea what she had captured that time until she arrived home safe. She was surprised by her daughter’s reaction saying how cool the photo was.
The Sky Meets the Sea
Leah showed Theresa the photo she sent her down Highway 64, and she was surprised how it turned out. It seemed like ocean waves were crashing above the sky. It was a unique cloud formation.
Even Theresa was amazed and couldn’t explain what that was. She looked at it closer and described it as if “the sky is going to unzip.”
Under Scrutiny
Since it was shared on Facebook, people have been debating about the authenticity of this photo. Many said this was “clearly Photoshopped” by adding an image of the ocean during a storm above it.
Others took a second, third, and nth look at the photo and couldn’t explain what went on in that photo. But they also couldn’t tell if it was real or not. All they knew was it was mind-blowing.
However, what made this photo seem more accurate than those who said this was fake were the comments from other people when Theresa’s story was published. They also posted photos they took that day, and it seemed like the clouds were dead serious about that storm. They were all thick, dark, and as if all hell was going to break loose.
What Experts Say
KVRR Local News interviewed resident meteorologist Marian Bush about this photo, and while she could make up some clouds on the picture, she couldn’t explain the rest of it.
“This is a very rare photo. My initial thought was maybe some basic clouds, cumulus nimbus clouds, or even a shelf cloud, but then after further looking, there are some clouds I have never even seen before myself. So, pretty unique, actually,” she told the news outlet.
