What’s so amazing about talent reality TV shows is how they give chance for everyday people to become the stars they truly are.

The Got Talent franchise pushes into the spotlight people whose singing experience only includes singing in the shower or a dance troupe who practices in an abandoned lot. This time, they discover something special with a boys’ choir.

The John’s Boys Male Chorus wouldn’t have imagined the first stop of their journey.

The group, hailing from Rhosllanerchrugog, includes men of varying ages and professions but with a unified passion for singing and music.

The choir is comprised of members ranging from 14 to 73. And according to the choir’s conductor, Aled Phillips, the choir makes do with what they have just so they can sing.

“We rehearse on a Sunday afternoon – and we rehearse in a cow shed. To see all these two-legged people is marvelous,” he joked on the show.

But when their moment came, people started thinking if they were really meant to practice in a shed.

The choir performed a rendition of Calum Scott’s “Biblical” with an acapella arrangement. One of the main singers sang the lines of the verse in a deep melodic voice that perfectly blends in with the rest of the chorus.

It was difficult for the judges and the members of the audience to not be overcome with intense emotion especially when they see men of varying ages put their all into the performance.

Bruno Tonioli, one of the judges from the show, described the performance as “divine.”

He even went as far as saying he was in “music heaven” when he was listening to their rendition. Alesha Dixon, meanwhile, described their performance as “really powerful.”

Amanda Holden said, “As soon as you said you’re a male voice choir from Wales – I knew I was going to cry.”

Simon Cowell, impressed and touched by the performance, said: “We’ve had a lot of choirs on the show and no one’s had that ‘moment’ – until now, this is the moment.”

The group didn’t manage to get the Golden Buzzer but the judges all agreed to push them through the next stages of the show.

People in the comment section shared their admiration for the group as well.

“Whenever there is a group of men from Wales coming onto the stage I just know it’s going to be stunning. The musicality of the Welsh shines in each performance.” Said one comment, “You have done Wales proud, men. Shivers down my spine, here.”

“A beautiful example of Welsh voices at their best. These men looked as though they were really enjoying it, too. Goosebumps here in Italy, listening to this.” said another.

The choir, aware of the attention they were getting, thanked their admirers.

“Thank you ever so much for all of your kind and supportive comments! We hope you enjoyed our audition as much as we did!” they said in the comment section as well.
