Vicki Cruz is 67. This lady from Des Moines, Iowa is retired and wow does she look exhausted. Even during the interview process, Vicki does not have that fire in her when speaking.
She retired from the federal government where she worked in the department for veterans affairs. This lady has seen it all, and at her age, is not in the mood for nonsense.
Life is hard and it does take its toll on all of us.
“I feel okay on the inside. I’m fine.”
She says.
Do you all know what fine means? Sometimes it can mean actually not fine at all.
So whenever someone says they’re “fine“, give them an ear for listening. There’s a story waiting to be told there. Even Vicki here who doesn’t seem to want to to open up looks just about ready to burst.
That’s when she admits to wearing wigs for four years since her hair is so fine and thin. Vicki says she’d just like to wear her hair. And as all women know, the hair is something they’re proud of. Even men adore women’s hair when done right.
You know what it is though? She worked for the government. That’s bound to suck the life out of anyone!
Now Vicki is with the MAKEOVERGUY, and anyone who follows Christopher Hopkins knows he’s more than capable of transforming even the toughest of cases.
They don’t show the process of Vicki’s makeover, but we’re willing to bet it was a long one. At least they give out cocktails!
For most people, the thought of sitting long hours in a chair would be boring. But those in the industry that know that one has to suffer a little if one is to look gorgeous.
Hopkins is a magician. He is the go to guy for epic transformations. This guy started as a kid, experimenting with dolls before moving on to family and friends. All that while learning to play the piano and singing.
Look at Vicki after all the work!
She’s smiling, winking, and even lets out a giggle or two. Goes to show that a little pampering and a few cocktails can lift the spirits. It’s rejuvenation after decades of stress and Vicki deserves it!
She’s still very much guarded as the interviewer puts it, and she acknowledges that fact.
“Just… shy.”
Vicki then proceeds to share how she also felt invisible, the same word other makeover clients would use before their glamorous transformation took place. And really, we get it.
Vicki’s gotten praises from the comments section though!
“WOW what a way to retire, looking beautiful and confident. Cheers here’s to the next amazing 50 years.”
Says one viewer while another goes,
“Oh my sweet girl. I can see that you’ve been hurt. You’re so beautiful.”
It’s amazing how people respond to each other’s hurt no matter how much they try to hide it.
Vicki looks stunning. She’s got that vibrant look to her, there’s color now and not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. She’s beautiful and that’s how she’s always been. Vicki just needed a little push.
