Who doesn’t love Wheel of Fortune?
This game show has been a staple in American homes for decades, entertaining families as their eyes are glued to their television screens.
Who doesn’t want to join in the guessing, right? We even pretend or wish we were playing in the show at some point!
This one episode of Wheel of Fortune was unforgettable for so many reasons.
It featured three veterans as contestants during Veterans Week, and we know how they deserve to win the prize.
However, as the game usually ends, there could only be one grand winner, but that doesn’t mean the rest could not take home any cash at all. That’s the beauty of this game.
When Nura Fountano had already raked in some money from the previous rounds, she decided to give her fellow veterans a chance.
Nura already scored a lot from the previous rounds, and the other contestants seemed like they didn’t stand a chance against her.
Before the final round, Troy only won a little, while Steve had none.
The final spin was their last chance to take home some money.
It was easy to predict who would win it all, but Nura had another plan.
She didn’t want the money all to herself because she already had enough – plus, she won a free trip in one of those rounds.
The category was “What are you doing?” and they had to guess 19 letters.
The round started with Steve, and he guessed two T’s but couldn’t guess the word.
It was Nura’s turn, and she said, “Z.”
Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak had to double-check if he heard her right, and he did. There was no Z.
This went on for how many rounds, and Nura kept guessing letters that would unlikely be there.
She gave Q and X and even buzzed out at one point.
Pat was confused about what Nura was doing, but the game had to continue.
After one more round, Steve guessed two F’s, and the answer was already obvious.
He shouted “Following Footprints” in jest – and he got it right!
Thanks to Nura, everyone went home with a cash prize at the end of the day.
She had $13,970 from all her winnings in the previous rounds, while Steve and Troy got $6,400 and $4,300, respectively.
Pat went to Nura and asked her about her letter choices in the game, and all she said was, “That’s what I saw.”
“Well, that was an unsatisfactory answer,” Pat replied. But those who were watching at home knew what Nura was doing.
Maybe Pat guessed it, too, and Nura didn’t want to admit it, but people who saw this episode felt she did it on purpose.
She wanted to buzz out or guess unlikely letters on the board so the other two players could earn some cash.
Nura already earned a lot and knew it would mean much to her fellow veterans to win some money.
Just saw the classiest move on “Wheel of Fortune.” Nura threw the final puzzle to let a fellow military person win it. Much respect.

Others might have thought it was odd, but those who understood called it a class act.
A few people tweeted about this moment and applauded Nura for her actions.
