Guardian angels don’t always come with halos and wings. Oftentimes, it’s a random stranger who goes out of their way to help others. Especially when kids get in trouble. You know how kids are.

This little guy from Chicago almost got crushed by a 97 pound package.

Four year old Max Pratt loves his chores and always helps around the house like the good little boy that he is. And every time a package is delivered to his house, he goes out of his way to bring it inside so mom doesn’t have to bother.

But this time, UPS delivered a box twice Max’s size.

Like every little boy, Max believes he’s way stronger than he thinks. Going a la Avengers, Max eagerly comes out to try and move the huge box inside. The box contained a garden hammock and when Max muscled up, the box toppled over onto him.

He’s got one arm on the door and one arm on the box. Like Captain America pulling the helicopter back.

“Aaah! Help!”

The UPS driver can be seen crossing the street back to his van but when he hears the kid’s cries for help, the man immediately sprints back across the road to the door and with no effort, lifts the box of little Max.

“You okay, buddy?”

Max gets back on his feet with a smile on his face as mom comes out to see what all the fuss was about.

Traci Pratt was upstairs with her two year old daughter when she heard Max’s yelp. Max is around forty pounds. He’s got to hit the gym someday!

“I pictured my boys in his situation, obviously, and you go into full parent mode, full dad mode.”

The driver told WBBM.

And Max? It was just a little ouchie for this kid. Traci went ahead to get the package but the UPS man wouldn’t have it. He went ahead to bring it inside for the family, once again flexing those muscles.

This four year old just saw his life flash before his eyes.

But the best part is the UPS driver’s name. Marco Angel. Sounds like a superhero alter ego.

Check out Max smiling during the interview though. It’s just a bruised ego, he’ll recover. If anything, Max knows now what he should work on. No super soldier serum here, kid. Just good old fashioned weight lifting.

Angel’s built like one too. And that sprint from across the street was pure adrenaline.

Traci decided to share the video with the Oak Park Moms Facebook group, and the story quickly spread. People have been calling Angel a hero and that he deserves a recognition and a raise.

Kudos to Marco for his quick reflexes.

As for Max? Well he really doesn’t like the hammock. He’s fallen out of it three times. So I guess he’s got to work on his balance along with those muscles.
