With the growth of technology, online ordering has become somewhat one of our nation’s biggest pastimes. We constantly browse and shop for miscellaneous stuff that we think we need simply because the deal is too sweet to pass up.
Speaking of sweet deals and deliveries, a UPS driver got the surprise of a lifetime after her hard work and passion earned her some recognition. Strap in for the ride because you’re about to get your daily dose of feel-good medicine!
Carolyn Crump, a UPS driver for 23 years, has delivered countless packages and parcels to the residents of Clayton. She has worked diligently, day and night, making sure that the people of the small town received their gifts on time. Her passion and effort would not go overlooked.

Some of the neighbors decided it would be nice to pay it forward to Carolyn and surprise her with a package of their own. They all have their reasons for appreciating Carolyn as their friendly neighborhood delivery woman.
The day before we had to put our dog down, I found her in the foyer saying goodbye to the dog,” said Jason Lehtman, who created the gofundme page for the occasion. “And right there you’re just like, ‘Wow’”
Another resident, Christie, Pickrell also had great things to say about Carolyn. “She’s just kind. She’s humble. I don’t think she even realizes the impact she has on people. She’s always smiling.”
Carolyn thought her day was over when her shift ended on Friday, but the reality was that her day was just starting.
After much anticipation, the box was unveiled to be a new roof to replace Carolyn’s 30 year old current one! Carolyn was floored with emotion and gratitude as she thanked each person that came out to help support her when they really had no business doing so.
“Because of the generosity you show and the love to our families, our babies, our dogs especially, we wanted to give you a little bit more.”
Extra donations of money will help Carolyn out with bills and extra hurdles that are faced daily.
“I am truly surprised cause I love this route,” said an emotional Carolyn. “I love my job. I love coming to work. I never mind working. That’s great and this is why. It’s the reason I’ll retire on this route. And the only reason I have a route is because you guys shop online.”
This is exactly the type of joy and excitement you love to see in your local community.
People coming together to pay it forward with kindness is one of the most wholesome scenes you can ever encounter. For Carolyn, it’s something she’ll hold on to for the rest of her life.
