You might hear this question from a friend or your colleague.

“If you had a lot of money, what would you do?”

One of the responses from Quora said that:

“I would build a mobile recording studio inside a big bus and travel around the world to record music with unknown but talented musicians in countries that have less access to technology to distribute their music…”

According to King5, the great Cascadia earthquake is being considered the worst natural disaster to strike North America, even though it has yet to happen. It will come, according to geologists; the only question is when.

In a worst-case scenario, a major earthquake hits off the Northwest coast.

At that point, there isn’t anything that people can do to stop a tsunami.

However, one beach woman is offering herself another option — she was the first American to purchase a tsunami survival capsule.

Jeanne Johnson shared how she intends to make it through the worst-case scenario.

She lives in Long Beach, on a low sand spit on the coast of Washington.

That’s about an eighth of a mile from the ocean. Thus, Jeanne had been preparing for the future.

“This is my survival capsule, for tsunami survival,” Jeanne presented.

Her most notable investment, a peculiar 300-pound capsule.

This is to keep her safe and to be a little sneaky if and when the unthinkable unfold. She knows she has a safe place to go in case the worst happens.

Julian Sharpe is the President of Survival Capsule, a Puget Sound Energy (PSE) based company.

The firm specializes in the concept of a personalized safety system. Julian envisioned the idea of the device against the threat of a Tsunami while spending the weekend with his family in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

His memory was still fresh with the disaster of the 2004 Indonesian Tsunami, which claimed the lives of approximately 225,000 people.

This is the capsule’s sleeping arrangement.

There are plans in the works to expand them. But Jeanne and the Japanese market have so far purchased this 4.5 foot in diameter spherical pod from the company.

“Then I just have to get my helmet and put it on,” Jeanne said.

Julian mentioned that,

“It’s something that might become part of our everyday life. If we decide to live on the ocean.”

Jeanne has the thought that people are no longer happy with the idea of death. She believes it was the fact that she had to get in here and lock the door.

It’s a strongly built framework.

With the emitter for the coast guard and the marine band radio. The survival capsule carries fishing gears, flashing beacons, and flares, with a first aid trauma kit as well as enough food and water to last for 40 days.

All of it was well worth the time and money — that costs $13,500 for the basic capsule itself.

She believed that it’s a small price to pay for peace of mind.

“It’s like an insurance policy, I guess,” Jeanne proclaimed.

If you have a lot of money, you might as well get one.
