A transport company called Beijing Truck Home Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Truck Home) leased three trucks to travel from Harbin to Guangzhou in four days.

The journey covered 3,300 kilometers and carried about 80 cubic meters of snow. The purpose of the transport mission was to let some special children who couldn’t leave Guangzhou have the opportunity to play in the snow.

On the morning of February 1, three trucks loaded with snow arrived in Guangzhou and opened the warehouse. Children from Xingzhi Children’s Development Center and surrounding communities lined up to pick up snow and play with washbasins and buckets.

The teacher at the welfare agency said, “This was equivalent to giving them a nature lesson, and they saw real snow for the first time.”

Being kind is never a “waste.”

Facing internet comments calling the act of kindness a “waste of resources,” the staff of Truck Home explained that the purpose was not only to let the children in Guangzhou see the snow. They also wanted to use three different types of refrigerated trucks for long-distance cold chain transportation from north to south, documenting various parameters and vehicle performance.

Their journey commenced around 7 P.M. on January 31. Three trucks loaded with snow crossed 3,300 kilometers and arrived in Guangzhou.

Early the next morning, they were sent to welfare institutions such as Xingzhi Children’s Growth Center for children in Guangzhou to play. The event was initiated by Truck Home Company, they borrowed and leased three trucks from Harbin on January 28, taking four days to reach Guangzhou.

Giving the children snow to melt their hearts.

The staff mentioned that playing in the snow in Harbin had become popular, and they wanted to give the snow to children in Guangzhou who couldn’t go north to experience the joy of playing in the snow.

At 9:30 a.m. on February 1, three trucks full of snow arrived in Guangzhou, and children from Xingzhi Children’s Growth Center and surrounding communities lined up to pick up snow and play. According to the firm’s staff, the snow allowed more than 2,000 children and parents to play until 5 P.M.

During the snow play, many children expressed their joy, with some mentioning they saw snow for the first time. A teacher at Xingzhi Children’s Growth Center noted that 70% of the children had never seen snow, and this event allowed them to witness the real thing.

The “North Snow South Transfer” journey, spanning 3,300 kilometers in four days, carrying about 80 cubic meters of snow, sparked discussions online.
