There’s no denying it- everyone loves a street performer. You would be lying if you said that you’ve never been impressed by some of their acts or watched as you walked by thinking “How do they do that?”
Street performers come in all shapes and sizes.
There are singers and dancers, and undiscovered talents all along the streets of London.
Some people even get famous and perform at Gardens nearby. But there is just no time to experience all of them.
One group of performers had an impressive act to begin with, but the audience participation is what set them apart from others.
The man plucks a small 9-year-old Swedish girl from the crowd and brings her into the center. She is clearly just on vacation with her family enjoying some of the things London has to offer, with Big Ben in the background.
They clearly have already put on quite a show as there is a large gathering around them. He has her cross her arms and he begins to challenge her.
He starts her off with some easy challenges.
He just has her copy some push-ups, and she follows along as if asking him for a harder challenge. Then a cartwheel and she copies flawlessly (if not better than the performer himself.)
The crowd cheers, but they’re ready for them to step it up.
They do a few more cartwheels and spins that look a little like dance moves. Then he has the girl stand with her arms above her head like a ballerina center stage. The crowd and everyone watching from YouTube just assumes it’s another dance move, but he motions to his friends on the side of the stage.
One thing leads to the next and there’s a human carousel happening right in front of this crowd!
One man from the side has jumped onto the first man’s shoulders. The first man lifts the 9-year-old as if she’s as light as a feather and the two swing her around in a circle before a third member of the team gently catches her and places her on solid ground.
Of course, the video had to end with a small dance-off.
While everyone was assuming the spin was the grand finale – the duo ended the performance with an adorable final dance around center stage to the sound of the crowd cheering.
The crowd and the internet alike absolutely loved it.
I think that the reason that this video got over 13 million views is because it’s just so wholesome. The way the girl welcomed the challenges for one thing. And most importantly the way they were so careful with her and had so much fun was adorable. Everyone in the comments showed their love as well.
Any parent that wouldn’t want their child to get involved in a street performance, may change their mind after seeing this video. There are people that are in the crowd that would probably join in once they saw how much fun this 9-year-old was having!
There’s no denying that this little moment in London made this Swedish girl’s whole vacation. And it’s highly likely that this video will make you smile.
