Tom Hanks is perhaps one of the best actors of our generation. Starring in critically-acclaimed films such as Saving Private Ryan, Philadelphia, and Catch Me If You Can, Hanks has touched people all around with world with his heartfelt, passionate performances.
More importantly, Hanks has played an important part in being a wonderful role model to aspire to be. When many of the celebrities in Hollywood are more concerned with themselves, Hanks is likable, approachable, and an all-around great guy.
He doesn’t get in much trouble with the media, and you rarely hear anything negative about him. Most importantly, he and his wife Rita Wilson have been married for 28 years, which is quite remarkable when you always have the spotlight highlighting your every mistake and move.

Hanks tells Entertainment Tonight, “When we first looked at each other there was definitely a kind of a, ‘Hey, this is the place!’ I felt that anyway. I think the end result is that we got married for all the right reasons.”

When asked to elaborate further, Hanks responded, “We just like each other. You start there.”

“Life is one thing after another and its actually more pleasant to be able to go home with someone you like to spend time with in order to get with it,” he says.
They are a great model for young couples to look up to. Even us married ones can also learn from Tom and Rita!
