Dad interviews daughter about her love for “yipick”
Her excuses for taking mom's makeup were hilarious—but so was the way she said "lipstick."

Stealing mom’s makeup seems to be a great pleasure to children.

Girls are more avid for mascara and lipstick, but it’s not unusual to see a baby boy showing interest in cosmetics.

We found a hilarious video of a little princess who was caught red-handed with mommy’s lipstick all over her face.

Dad came in the middle of the little girl’s beauty treatment. Of course, he grabbed a camera and had a little chat with his daughter. The video got almost two million YouTube views. You don’t know what yipick is? Stay tuned.

Peter Sowell, a 41-year-old proud father of three daughters, started Sunday Morning Interview YouTube channel in 2014 and the adorable content has garnered over 12,000 subscribers.

Sowell says that his daughters make him “laugh every day.” The Sowell family’s funniest member is Peter’s youngest daughter Willa, who was two years old when the video was filmed. Ever since daddy filed their first conversation, he knew he had to make it a weekly tradition.

Every Sunday, Peter uploads a new video, and Willa is always the main character.

The duo discusses numerous topics, from Darth Vader and art to love and weather. “She’s imaginative, feisty, and completely hilarious,” says Mr. Sowell. Yes, we caught a glimpse of that when Willa tried to explain why it’s alright to “borrow” mom’s makeup while her mom knows nothing about it.

“I asked myself,” is the mood.

Willa is certainly one strong-minded girl. Instead of feeling guilty for taking her mom’s lipstick, the 2-year-old calmly chats with her dad. Peter makes a reasonable question: “Did you ask anybody if you can put it on?” Willa laughs it off and says, “I asked myself!” You go, girl, that’s the attitude.

Her immense joy is contagious, and you can see that she loves how the makeup turned out.

But wait, Willa’s dad is not done with questioning. “Did you see how it looked,” asked dad curiously. The girl replied “yes” with complete satisfaction. Well, we predict her a fantastic career in the world of makeup. She’s started on time, that’s for sure.

We love how calm, and patient Willa’s dad is.

Children certainly know all sorts of ways to test their parents’ patience, but Sowell is a champion. He’s not stressed about what happened, and Willa seems so comfortable having a conversation with him.

We don’t doubt that the father explained to Willa why it was wrong to steal from her mom when the camera was off.

The point is to build such a beautiful bond with your kid to talk about anything without problems. To prove that Willa’s imagination has no limits, dad asks where the lipstick came from. According to Willa, the yipick (or lipstick) is hers. “I bought it at Home Depot,” explains Willa.

From that moment on, her dad loses his composure and bursts out laughing. The video cuts off, with both of them having a good laugh.

In an interview with DailyMail, Willa’s mom Valerie said that the yipick was a Beautycounter brand lipstick.

What to do when your kid lies?

Undoubtedly, the video is hilarious, but sometimes lying becomes a regular occurrence. It is essential to teach your child the value of telling the truth. How? First of all, distinguish the reason for the lie. Does your kid love to brag? Is it all a fantasy, or might your child be trying to avoid the responsibility constantly?

The second important thing is to provide positive reinforcement every time your kid tells the truth.

Be a good role model and discuss everything with your kiddo.

Mr. Sowell does an excellent job. We think Willa will be a terrific storyteller when she grows up.
