Coincidence or fate, whatever you call it, proves that things happen for a reason.
There are circumstances that we think are too random to happen, but when they do, we realize that we were meant to be in that place and time.
Sometimes, these instances are too random; it’s crazy to think how things fell into place.
Too random, like a mother and child playing in their yard that ended up saving someone’s life.
Brittany Moore was with her two-year-old son, Ethan, playing bubbles in the backyard of their home in Al Roberts Road, Senoia, Coweta County in Georgia.
Everything went like they usually would β Brittany blowing bubbles and her toddler and their dogs chasing them.
The wind blew the bubbles towards their fence line by the woods, and Ethan stopped.
He stared at something which concerned Brittany, so she went near him and asked her son.
“I went over there and was like, ‘What do you see buddy?’ and he pointed and said, ‘Feet,’ ‘Okay, buddy can you say that again? What did you say?’ And he said, ‘Feet.'” Moore recalled the incident to 16 WAPT News.
Concerned, Brittany looked out at the woods.
She tried to scan the area but couldn’t see anything until she realized that she should get to Ethan’s line of sight.
So, she crouched to her son’s eye level and asked him to point again.
That’s when she saw a pair of feet.
Brittany panicked at first because she didn’t want her son beside her to witness what she saw, but she also wanted to go beyond the fence and help whoever owned that pair of feet.
She called the authorities when she calmed down and waited for them to arrive until they confirmed that the woman was alive and talking.
That woman was 82-year-old Nina Lipscomb, who’d been missing for several days.
It was a coincidence that when Brittany and her husband, Evan, talked about that news in their backyard, she thought that maybe the missing elderly woman had wandered into the woods.
It was a miracle that her son saw Nina and unquestionably saved her life.
Karen, Nina’s daughter, said she couldn’t believe it would be a toddler who would find her mother.
“We pulled out every resource we thought we needed, but it was a little boy, and she’s very fond of children,” she said.
Nina suffered from early-stage Alzheimer’s and wandered off the night she went missing.
Karen said her mother was looking for her sister, who lived near Al Roberts Road but passed away months ago.
They alerted the authorities and asked for help from the community when she realized her mother was missing.
Two families are now forever connected because of a young boy playing bubbles.
Was it coincidence or fate?
Karen described this story as a “Christian Walk” because of how something as innocent as bubbles led to finding her lost mother.
“I truly think this was something outside of what any human could do. It took a child who was being worked by God. We will always teach him what he did, how he played an impact in it,” Brittany said.
