“Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate”- Unknown.

No matter how hard you try to talk to kids about what they should and should not do, their minds would still observe their surroundings.

That is why, as parents, we tend to be careful with how we speak and act. We also make sure to monitor what they are watching. If needed, we also explain what’s happening in our surroundings.

This way, we would be confident that we’re raising kind-hearted, polite, and respectful kids.

Richard Allen of Northeast Philadelphia felt sad about the increasing number of crimes in the city.

Just then, he remembered a video he took a year ago.

He looked it up again and decided to post it on TikTok, where it went viral with 1.5M views.

“I was on my phone and I noticed a bus pulled over, and I see a group of kids helping an elderly man,” Allen said in his interview with ABC 6. “I said, ‘Wow!’ I have to record this.”

In the viral clip, we see an elderly man go down the bus. Then three young boys went to him, and two of them held his hand.

The two boys guided him to his walker while the third boy prepared his walker. Once the elderly man was all set, the three boys looked at him to make sure he was okay.

Then the youngest boy went up to the elderly man again to fix his bag. He didn’t want the walker running over the bag.

“I wanted it to basically get shared to a lot of different kids that actually see this video to want to do better. That you don’t have to get noticed for doing bad all the time,” Allen said in his interview.

True enough, this act of kindness is so beautiful.

The parents of these kids, if they would see the video, would surely be proud of them.

After recording, Allen quickly went out of his car and called for the three boys.

He gave them some money and told them that he saw what the boys did, and he reminded them to continue what they were doing.

“That’s for seeing somebody and helping him. That was a good thing we saw you did. Don’t stop doing it,” Allen said in the video.

The boys were shocked when they received the money.

The youngest one offered a handshake and said, “God bless you,” to Allen.

Allen shared that he wanted people, especially kids, to see this video to see that they don’t have to get noticed for doing something bad.

It’s better to do something good, even if there’s no one watching.

Allen wanted the world to know that there are many good and kind kids, and we should appreciate them.

We’re also very proud of the parents who raised such kind and polite kids.
