Natalie Blair, who lives in a New Jersey neighborhood, has always known she has the best neighbors ever.
Her neighbor’s sons, Patrick and Brian Lanigan, have always seen after the Blairs, especially since Natalie relied on dialysis and was waiting for a transplant.
A few years ago, the Blair couple realized just how lucky they are to live close to these angels, when they helped them twice in the same week.
It involved shoveling snow in their driveway to make sure the woman would make it to her dialysis appointment.
In the first case, it was Brian, who at the time worked as a local EMT, who did the job and made sure the driveway would be safe for Natalie to go down.
But the second time, it was all up to Patrick to find a way to help the senior neighbor.
You see, Brian had to go to work, and with the new snowstorm coming, it was clearly a life-or-death situation for Natalie.
She had to go to her dialysis appointment but with the snow covering her driveway it seemed impossible to achieve.
Still, the teenager living next door knew he had to help her.
So, he called his classmates from Parsippany High School, asking for help.
Four of them said yes to the challenge and agreed to sleep at his house so that they could all wake up early to get the job done.
This, given that they’re teenagers, actually meant that they were not going to get any sleep at all, but they still did it.
“We stayed up playing video games and I think we were all up 4:30 and I think we finished around 5,” Patrick told Eyewitness News ABC7NY at the time.
The boys, with a minimum amount of sleep, were there on time to shovel the snow and clear Mrs. Blair’s driveway in order to help her make it to her appointment as scheduled.
The woman could not be more grateful for these young men who spent time and put in so much effort to help her- a stranger to most of them.
“I looked out the front window and I’m like, the whole driveway’s clear,” said Natalie to the reporters, tears welling up in her eyes. “And then I found out from my husband there were four of them with Patrick. Oh there were five of you, seriously?”
The whole thing might have gone unnoticed if Patrick’s dad hadn’t tweeted about it.
The tweet received so much attention that the kind teenagers were overwhelmed.

Still, it had to be made public because it simply restores faith in humanity.
Thankfully, there are still many good people out there like Patrick and his friends, and they want to make the world a better place.
Such a heartwarming story, really!
