On a quiet evening at a local Corpus, Christ, Texas Chick-fil-A restaurant, Ryan Cook and his friends, Joshua Mechell and Alberto Montie, decided to grab some food.

They then noticed a man sitting at a table near them.

He was counting change.

Eddie, a homeless man, was counting some change trying to buy dinner for himself.

On his table, Eddie had a photo of Jesus and a worn Bible.

The Chick-fil-A staff mentioned that Eddie was a frequent patron of the restaurant.

However, he rarely asks for anything.

Unless it’s for his dog, Socks.

The dog always gets the first bite when Eddie gets a meal. He usually asks for water to fill the dog’s bowl.

That night, an unexpected event was about to unfold for Eddie and his dog.

The teens wanted to bless him.

The three friends, Alberto, Joshua, and Ryan, purchased the man some gift cards for the restaurant so he will no longer worry about counting his change for food for quite a while.

But gift cards weren’t enough.

But they came to the conclusion that the gift cards were not enough, and that they could still give more to Eddie and his dog.

The friends hurriedly finished their meals and took off to go to a local shop, Dickโ€™s Sporting Goods.

They bought a winter hat, a first-aid kit, three shirts, and a winter jacket for the homeless man.

When the store owner learned what the boys were doing, he also joined the cause and donated some display items.

He also gave $20 to their cause.

The boys then headed back to the restaurant, hoping that Eddie and the dog were still there.

Ryan started recording on his phone.

In the video, Eddie was still counting some of the coins when one of Ryan’s friends approached him and told him about the bag of goods.

Eddie’s face in the video says it all. He was happy and delighted with what the boys did for him.

Ryan shared on Facebook that they were trying to set an example for everyone else.

He also added that it is important to be selfless and to do good to others when you can.

The teen didn’t want to gain anything from the post but only wanted to inform others to do better.

“Awesome! God bless you young men for being Yahushaโ€™s hands and feeding your brother,” a user commented, praising the teens for their act of kindness to a stranger.
