People sometimes live happy lives, but in many cases, they go through hard times as they grow up.
Luckily, some of them have nice memories from their childhood, thinking of which makes them strong enough to move on in life.
However, there are people who experience the exact opposite: they struggle during their childhood, and they have the chance to build a far better life as they get into adulthood.
This is exactly what happened to some girls from Las Vegas, Nevada.
The seven teens who had just finished high school had been working very hard for a long time in order to enter college and help themselves and their families build a better future.
One of them, Paige, was the daughter of two drug and alcohol addicts.
She had gone through a lot as she was growing up, including the fact that her mother left the family because drugs were her priority, as Paige shared with FOX 5.
But she had bigger plans.
Given that the girl also had younger siblings, she wished to enter the university and find a well-paid job in order to have money to help bring her siblings up as if she were their guardian.
At the same time, one of the girls who was then trying to make her family proud and, in her own way, say thank you to her parents who had been struggling for decades until they managed to move from the Philippines to the US, was Bettina Bautista.
Then, there were girls who had already lost one of their parents and wanted to make them proud in heaven.
And, as young as they were back then, they were definitely more mature than someone might expect.
As the representative of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation that teamed up in order to help the teens go to college back then said,
“From the moment these girls walked in the room, they were superstars. [We knew] that they had something special.”
Indeed, thanks to the FOX5 Surprise Squad and to the ECF, the anxious girls, who had had interviews with the ECF members already, in a moment turned into the happiest people on Earth!
You see, when each of them entered the room and prepared to talk with those people, they had no idea what was about to happen next.
The Surprise Squad suddenly appeared and told them that they were awarded the scholarship.
Most of the girls couldn’t hold back their tears, but all of them were obviously happier than ever.
But the surprise didn’t even stop there.
The seven girls were taken to the parking lot of the building, where they were told that each one of them was given a car so that they could easily go to the university every day, and, of course, go to work.
The young girls kept wiping their happy tears, and they even gave hugs to each other.
What a memorable day for all of them!
We are sure they had all done their best to get there and we are sure they were already proud of themselves.
