“When my brother was born in 1985, my mother purchased two identical teddy bears. The one on the left has been my brother’s for 30 years, the one on the right has been kept in storage for my brother’s first child who was born today.”

It’s so cool that the new baby will be able to enjoy the same bear that his dad enjoyed so many years ago.

“33 years old teddy born in Boston, raised in Mexico, world traveler, once lost in Central Park NYC for 6 days!”

The bear has been all around the world and seen so much over the years.

“About to leave the house. Buckled up for safety and super excited!”

When you have a bear that you love, the desire to take it everywhere is real. However, it’s always important to take safety precautions.

“My best friend from 33 years ago and a new old stock one my pop got for my baby son.”

The two bears are very similar in style. The only difference is that one is much older than the other.

“My 3 year old daughter had her tonsils out today. When she was coming out of the anesthesia the nurses put a mask and bandage for an IV on her teddy bear.”

Sometimes, teddy bears need to be bandaged up too. Especially if they have received a lot of love in their lifetime.

“Teddy on the left: 37 years old, mine. Teddy on the right: 40 years old, my husband’s.”

Both the wife and the husband still have their childhood teddies. The two of them are the perfect match.

“I’ve slept with a teddy bear for 28 years. Guess which one he is.”

It’s pretty easy to tell which bear is which. One is literally falling apart. He has almost all of the stuffing squeezed out of him.

“Since we are posting before and after pictures of stuffed animals… Here is my new teddy and old teddy.”

The proportions of the limbs on the old one are pretty goofy looking at this point. The new teddy is in great shape in comparison.

“Dad likes to take pictures of my old teddy bear and mail them to me now that I’ve moved away from home.”

The bear and the boy might be hundreds of miles apart, but they are still together in spirit. They are both older now and drink beer instead of milk.

“Ruffus the first, and Ruffus the second for my little boy, due this September. 26 years apart.”

Every kid needs a stuffed dog named Ruffus to keep him company. Maybe one day, there will even be a Ruffus the third.

“Old bear is stuffed with straw and has a replacement button eye.”

You know a bear is old when it is stuffed with straw and has a button for an eye. It must have been born decades ago.

“In response to the guy with the two teddy bears, here are my two identical bears.”

These funny bears are both baseball payers. The old one’s uniform is pretty stained though. It could definitely use a good wash!

“Meet my teddy bear, Henry. We both just turned 25 years old.”

The man received his bear on the day that he was born and they have been together ever since. Their bond must be incredibly strong!

“As a kid with severe epilepsy, my teddy bear went to the hospital every time I was sick, and she’s still the only thing that makes me feel better; even right now when it’s only a little cold.”

Teddy bears always make a person feel better. They are just so cuddly and loveable.

“This is ‘old ted’ and he is 69 years old and much loved.”

69 years is very old for a teddy bear. He has definitely seen better days. However, he keeps on going and going,

“Threw my son’s teddy bear in the wash. Went back to close the washer lid. Magnets in paws and he clearly didn’t want to go in.”

The bear was hanging on for dear life. It was not a fan of water and taking a bath was the last thing that it wanted to do.

“You think your brother’s bear had it bad? Here’s the carcass of my wife’s stuffed mouse.”

The mouse is a hollow shell of what it once was. However, there is no way the wife is going to part with it. There is too much history between them.

“Here is my Teddy Bear from 46 years ago. Meet Puff.”

After 46 years, some of the stuffing is starting to escape out of Puff and he doesn’t have any fur left. However, all things considered, he is still doing great.

“I can play this game too. 35 year old Big Bird vs my daughter’s 35 year old Big Bird gifted by my mom.”

Everyone loves Sesame Street. Big Bird and friends have been around for generations. Not much has changed over the years.

“My dad is a business man and loves teddy bears.”

You never get too old to be a friend of teddy bears. Even business professionals can appreciate having one around. Hugging them is a great stress reliever.

“My 22 year old Snuffy and my sister’s 14 year old Snuffy. Someone’s obviously not giving enough love…”

Both of the bears are very old. However, one of them has received a lot more attention than the other. It’s amazing how much some snuggling can affect a teddy.

“My childhood Winnie the Pooh teddy bear. He used to have a t-shirt and he has a honey pot on his right bum cheek. Any ideas of the exact teddy bear he is or where you can get him?”

She would love to get a replacement for the bear. Her original is falling apart now and isn’t going to last much longer.

“I found a brand new version of my childhood teddy bear at a flea market.”

The new one at the flea market provides an interesting look into what the teddy bear used to be like. It’s pretty crazy what time can do to a bear.

“My husband found a perfect condition of my childhood teddy bear and it is the best gift I have ever received.”

She was so appreciative of her husband’s gift. It is identical to her old teddy bear. Now there are two of them to love.

“My childhood teddy bear, and his replacement if I was to lose it.”

It’s always good to have a backup in case the worst happens. Hopefully, the original will last for many more years to come still.

“My childhood 1980’s Russ Bennington Teddy Bear.”

These bears were classics back in the day. They were really popular in the 70s and 80s. However, they get less fluffy over time.

“After many years of searching, I finally found my childhood teddy bear, whose tag had been clipped off long ago. This is what a well-loved teddy looks like after 28 years of nonstop affection!”

It’s cool to see how different the bear looks now. It was once a white polar bear. Now it is much browner.

“He’s a very special teddy from childhood, purchased 1984 in Australia somewhere. His face became worn out and was replaced with brown fabric. Would mean a lot to me to find an identical bear. I’d be very grateful for any genuine help with this.”

The woman is looking for a replacement after all of these years. What are the odds that she will find an identical one over 25 years later?

“Help me! Need childhood teddy bear identified – want new(ish) one for my daughter!”

The mom wants to give her daughter the same type of teddy bear that she had when she was a child. It’s such a lovely thought. We hope she succeeds.

“One of my childhood teddy bears.”

It sounds like he used to have a bunch of them. Unfortunately, this is one of the only ones that he has left. It’s from the 1960s.

“My brother and I were each given the same bear when we were born, I loved mine just a little bit more…”

His bear is practically unrecognizable compared to his brother’s bear. All of that love caused it to lose a lot of fur and weight.

“This little guy is older then I am (I’m 34), as my sister originally got him before I was born, but at some point he became mine. When my family fled Russia in 1990, I was allowed to bring only a single toy with me and he was it. Since my father was a city official, my parents were constantly watching behind them as we switched from train to train in fear of the military catching them. Though I didn’t understand the consequences of us fleeing at the time. Today is also the day I reluctantly passed him onto my 5 year old daughter… fearing for his safety. He has seen a lot.”

This bear has a level of deep meaning for the family that is hard to comprehend for most of us.

“I have had my childhood teddy bear for 26 years now, one day on eBay I found another one by chance from the same line of bears… never would have guessed they were the same bear if it wasn’t for their matching product tags.”

We can definitely see the similarity. However, if you were just glancing at the bears for a few seconds, you might not notice that they are the same brand.

“Found this old guy while storing some things in my closet.”

It’s amazing what you can find when digging through your old childhood closet. There are so many memories buried in there.

“It was my first gift when I was a few months old, I’ve never known much about it.”

They were hoping that someone would be able to help them identify the brand. Every bear has a story. Tracking down where it came from is the first step in piecing things together.

“Found a new version of my childhood teddy bear, had to buy it.”

When the person saw the identical teddy in the store, they immediately knew that they had to get it. It was just too tempting to pass up.

“My buddy’s childhood Teddy Bear. Made with love!”

Every teddy bear is made with love. That’s for sure. There is nothing more loveable than a childhood stuffed animal. They are so much fun.

“I found him sleeping with my childhood teddy bear.”

It looks like the cat likes the bear just as much as the woman does. They bonded instantly. The bear, the cat, and the woman are all one big happy family now.

“I’ve had this teddy bear since I was two. Cut the tag off him long ago. Does anyone know where he’s from?”

His origin is a mystery. Although, it’s fine. That just means he is extra special. As of now, he is pretty much one of a kind.

“35 years and counting.”

It’s a long time to have a teddy bear. However, it’s simply not long enough. Here’s to wishing them many more years of happy friendship.

“He is thread bare but I’ve had him since my very first Christmas in 1984! He still looks after me at night even though I’m 34.”

It doesn’t matter if you’re in your thirties or even older. There is nothing quite like a teddy bear in a jumpsuit to keep you company at night.

“This is now my 1 year old son’s teddy from his nana who sadly passed away. He’s 45 years old.”

The goofy teddy used to belong to the nana. Now it belongs to the grandson. He will take good care of it, we’re sure.
