All of them who have gotten a tattoo probably have their own reasons. According to beforeyourtattoo.com, there 10 possible reasons why people get tattoos.

Among these reasons are the following: self-expression, to show love, pride for service, and many more.

The bottom line is, whenever someone gets a tattoo, it’s not for nothing.

It could be for fun but not for nothing. We all know that there’s a huge difference between these two.

A man named Sylvain Helaine from France also has his reasons behind his tattoos.

Well, he doesn’t only have one nor three tattoos, he has marks on his entire body – including his tongue and eyes. According to him, getting a tattoo is his passion.

“I will keep getting tattooed forever because when you’re passionate about something, you don’t want to stop. So, I started my second layer and after the second layer, I’ll do a third one and then a fourth one.”

But there’s another thing that he is passionate about – and that is teaching.

He had been teaching for more than 10 years. And during all those years, he was sure that he loves teaching kids.

His unwavering love for teaching started when he was just 10 years old and he successfully made it happen. Even though he has other jobs such as modeling and acting, he will never disregard his job as a teacher.

Sadly, the school where he was working decided to stop him from teaching kindergartener children.

Of course, he was not in favor of that. He loves to teach. Imagine being forbidden to do something that really close to your heart, it doesn’t feel good, right?

For ten years, he did not encounter any problems. The students and even the parents were okay knowing that he was their kids’ teacher.

“All of my pupils, all of my students and their parents were always cool with me because basically they knew me. As soon as you talk to me, you can…you realize I’m a proper teacher, that I’m a regular guy,” he said.

Until a parent reached out to the school administration.

That parent complained about Sylvain’s appearance as a teacher. For the parent, he had scared their child and was giving him nightmares.

The school did not neglect the parent’s fulmination. The administration decided to disallow him from teaching kindergarteners.

Helanie expressed his honest reaction to the school’s decision.

“[School administration] never tried to stand behind me. They immediately went the parents way.”

He may not be happy about it but his passion to teach never stops. He still hopes that everyone will see him as a teacher without judging him based on his appearance.

Meanwhile, his situation has gathered mixed reactions from other people.

Some appreciated him while others agreed to the parent’s sentiment.

“Thank you for showing the absolute beauty and art of tattoos. You are beautiful,” one commenter wrote.

Another YouTuber said, “This is understandable. I can see how a young child would be frightened by this man. Many of his tats are what nightmares are made of. Maybe if his eyes were normal eyes not dyed black it would make a difference..?? We connect through our eyes but we can’t see his. they are only black holes. I do like tats and many of his a very well done but kindergarten teacher? Maybe less disturbing at the college level. In my humble opinion.”

Hopefully, Helanie will be able to continue doing what he loves regardless of other people’s opinions. So long as he doesn’t harm anyone, he definitely deserves that.
