Teachers are incredibly important figures for a child, and there are some teachers that truly go above and beyond to take care of their pupils. Amanda is one of those teachers that students will remember for a lifetime.
Even though Amanda was always positive in her class, the woman dealt with some financial issues.
As a result, she couldn’t afford a car and had to take a hellish commute to work every single day.
Public transportation from her home to the elementary school definitely wasn’t easy, as it took her multiple hours per day. To make things worse, she’d often have to wait a long time in the cold and often had to take multiple buses.
When one woman heard about Amanda’s story, she immediately knew she needed to do something to help.
Courtney Adeleye’s daughter told mom and dad about her teacher’s daily commute and the fact that she couldn’t afford a car. Rumors about the woman’s financial situation have also been circulating around the community for a while.
After hearing the news from their little girl, Courtney and her husband decided to do something very special. Courtney is a successful entrepreneur and has her own line of hair care products. She’s someone who would much rather spend her wealth on kind gestures for other people than on herself.
“When my husband tells me that the teacher who has been teaching my girls for the last few years has been catching multiple buses to get to and from work every day in the hot sun and cold! He said we should give her something I said… say no more! When you ask me to define success… this is my response!”
They decided to buy their daughter’s teacher a brand new car.
“He [my husband] said you were actually catching a bus coming to work,” Courtney told Amanda minutes before handing over the car keys. “And I don’t know, I just felt a little compelled to do something, and we wanted to gift you with something.”
Amanda can’t believe what she’s hearing and is incredibly humbled by the thought that someone would hand over a gift to her. However, she still had no idea that there was a brand new vehicle waiting outside in the parking lot!
“Gift me with what,” Amanda said surprised. “You want to come outside?” Courtney simply responded.
Amanda was absolutely flabbergasted and stunned when she saw her brand new car, realizing she’d never had to take a bus to work again. The car has also been paid in full.
“No more sitting in the cold, no more riding the bus, no more waiting on somebody to come and pick me up,” she shouted with tears in her eye.
It’s as if a miracle occurred for Amanda, as her life has now been changed forever. It’s incredible how such a kind and huge gesture from a pupil’s parent can touch someone’s life so strongly.
“Wow… So wow! I feel blessed, I feel excited. I feel… I don’t know how I feel yet, I think I’m still kind of nervous, and excited and anxious and I don’t even know! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
