Have you ever been to a wedding that it was so memorable that you’ve wished your wedding to be that successful? What was it that left you so impressed? The cake, the decorations, the wedding dress, or the first dance between the lovely couple?
The majority of the couples usually choose something slow, like a ballad or something a bit “sensual” like a classic tango. However, there are some, like the couple in our story that chose to impress with their dancing skills, surprising everyone with their moves!
Meet Jason and Hannah Lee, the couple tied the knot back in 2016 and for their first dance, they had a very different and untraditional choice. They chose to put on their Chuck Taylors and their matching smiles, and dance on Olly Murs’ Dance with me tonight, surprising their guests with an amazing Lindy Hop performance.
For those who aren’t familiar with the type of music, Lindy Hop resembles swing dancing, but the Lindy Hoppers, as they call themselves, “hop” on swing music. The dance has its roots in 1920’s Harlem and its steps are a mix of Charleston and Tap.
Back to our happy couple, the music starts and the groom walks confidently in the middle of the dance floor and calls out to his friends and family, intensifying the moment, while the beautiful Hannah is smiling and blushing, looking at her groom as he starts their routine.
Jason sheds his jacket and invites his wife to join him on the dance floor. As you probably notice in the video, the Lindy Hop is a really energetic and playful dance with many moments improvisation and spontaneity.
The couple launches in an amazing performance that can easily be called professional with all the twirling and those flips! We can see that they probably had spent a fair amount of time preparing for their special day and they definitely nailed it.
Soon, all the groomsmen and bridesmaids join the lovely couple and they start swinging in the music. The party is on and everyone is having a great time. It’s such a beautiful day to remember and what a way to celebrate it!
Their wedding reception was a huge success to the eyes of all the guests and the people who had the opportunity to witness their epic performance. This is one of those stories you later tell to your children and grandchildren. Since then, the couple was blessed with a beautiful baby girl who will undoubtedly one day see her parents’ wedding video and be impressed by their dancing skills.
One thing is for sure, they definitely made an impression to everyone who since then has watched the video. There are many comments on YouTube congratulating the couple for their dancing! One wrote, “Omg so good! It’s easy to tell you guys married your best friend. Awesome dancing. 💜#Couplegoals”, while another said, “This made me tear up the JOY you both exude and the HAPPINESS you Felt is that happiness that fulfills you”!
