A young teenage girl was tormented for years by relentless bullying from classmates. The reason she was bullied is even more heartbreaking — she was defending a teacher.

Students were unruly in Andrea Crawford’s classroom, and they were attacking the teacher. Andrea stood up for the teacher and soon become the focus of their need to torment and torture.

“An elderly man came back from retirement, but as he was leading a lesson, one of the pupils threw a book and a plastic bottle at his face and called him horrible names,” Andrea told SWNS.

“I turned around and said to them: ‘That’s not right.’ And they haven’t liked the fact I was trying to be nice about the situation. Ever since then, the group tried to make my life hell.”

Andrea, who was battling a brain infection at the time of the bullying, suffered a brutal attack on the playground.

“Later that day I was attacked in the playground in front of the entire school, including the deputy head teacher,” she said. “There was about 10 girls, and all the rest of the school were looking and laughing at me being beaten up in front of absolutely everybody.”

The bullying wouldn’t end once the school day was over. When she would come home, the cruelty would continue online through social media. It was an endless cycle of torment that would send anyone into a depression and often does.

To help her cope, Andrea began writing songs. One anti-bullying song caught the attention of a record company.

Andrea would upload her songs on YouTube to share her emotions through music. Her songs prompted the attention of London-based record label Regent Street Artists. An unexpected and incredible surprise.

Andrea is now releasing her very first single which is an anti-bullying anthem titled “Trip and Fall.” Her mother, Kirsty, couldn’t be more proud of her daughter.

“I want it to inspire others and raise awareness that there’s always help available to them — no matter how bad things may be,” Andrea said.

Her schoolmates didn’t believe her at first when she told them about the record company and the single. That’s until it was released anyway.

When her song played at the school assembly, it was the best form of sweet revenge toward all of her bullies. Her story is an inspiring message for everyone — be kind, be nice, and spread love.
