Even with all the negativity in the news, there are always Good Samaritans around that inspire each and every one of us with their fantastic acts of kindness. Kevin was just waiting at a counter in an Omaha airport when he suddenly spotted a heartwarming act by a total stranger.

The man decided to share this amazing story online, where it quickly went viral.

Kevin saw a distressed man trying to check in to catch his plane along with his small daughter. Children under two fly for free with this particular airline, but then the agent asked how old the man’s daughter was.

“A gentleman was checking in for his flight when the agent asked how old his daughter was,” Kevin wrote on Love What Matters. “He said she had recently turned two. The agent then asked if she had a ticket. The man was confused because he was under the impression she could ride for free. (When he booked the ticket she was one, but her birthday was in January.)”

The father didn’t account for her recent birthday, which means that under the rules, he also needed a ticket for his two-year-old.

As you can imagine, the man’s world completely fell apart as it was a long flight and he didn’t have enough money to purchase the ticket, especially not right away. He tried to call a few people to see how he could fix this predicament, but it was clear that the man was in deep trouble.

“He was hit with emotion,” eyewitness Kevin recalls. “He mentioned he couldn’t afford to rebook this flight or get her the ticket with such short notice. He stepped aside and tried to make a few calls. Hugging his daughter and grabbing his head, you could tell he was heartbroken.”

At that moment, a Good Samaritan decided to step in. A woman, who was later identified as Debbie Bolton, co-founder and sales officer at Norwex, overheard a bit of the conversation with the airline agent and asked what was wrong.

“This woman next to him at the front counter heard the whole thing. She walked over to him and asked what was wrong. After they talked for a bit they walked up to the counter together.”

Kevin couldn’t believe his eyes and ears when the woman asked the agent to buy a ticket for the two-year-old girl.

“She pointed back at his daughter and said, ‘I wanna buy her ticket.’”

“The agent said, ‘You know how much this ticket costs right?’ The woman responded ‘$700 something?’ ‘$749’ the agent said.”

The Good Samaritan immediately grabbed her credit card and made sure that the ticket was printed. Kevin himself couldn’t praise the woman enough and quickly thanked her. The agent was clearly emotional about the whole situation as well.

“The woman said, ‘that’s fine’ and pulled out her credit card. I was right there and I just said to her, ‘God Bless You!’ and they printed out the ticket. The agent kept talking about her goosebumps while the man hugged the woman and asked for her name to repay her.”

The man desperately wanted to catch her name, as he fully intended to repay her later. “Don’t worry about it”, she replied.

The woman just kept saying, ‘Don’t worry about it.’ She knew she wanted to help that man and his daughter no matter what the cost. Please share this story because people like this need to be recognized,” Kevin concluded.

After this act of kindness went viral and even hit national headlines, Debbie’s co-workers said that they’re not surprised at all.

“We have always appreciated the loving spirit of Debbie Bolton,” coworker Amy Cadora told CBS News. “She’s kind, caring and generous. That’s why none of us was a bit surprised when we saw the recent post on social media about her generosity.”

“I was not surprised,” colleague Cari Flynn added. “There is not just some ‘glamazon’ or ‘egomaniac’ heading this company; there is a humble person who really cares about people!”

Such an amazingly heartwarming and selfless act of kindness!
